Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
An actor. He played Killmonger in Black Panther and Adonis Creed in the Rocky spinoff movies. The confusion was the source of a gag in the Space Jam sequel.
And now I feel old because I actually remember watching his show. (Granted, I think what I remember was the PBS re-edits after the initial network run ended, because I was barely four years old when the initial network run ended, but still...)
Muppet Wiki has a list here: https://muppet.fandom.com/wiki/Muppet_Show_guest_stars_who_are_living
And for the opposite list: https://muppet.fandom.com/wiki/Muppet_Show_guest_stars_who_have_died
And on a related note (this list includes cameos as well as headliners)...
Sources are now reporting that sportscaster, businesswoman, and Miss America Phyllis George has died. With this passing comes a sad milestone: if I'm counting correctly, this means that half the celebrity guests on the Muppet Show are now deceased.
It was ruled a few years ago that the copyright only applied to a specific arrangement, and that the lyrics and melody are public domain (and should have been for some time).
Makes me suspect that was a joke.
I wonder if the fact that the real-life New York City has been gradually replacing its uppercase street signs with lowercase ones over the past decade will come into play here.
Just as well. I've always found "Tea Lizard" to be a bit out-of-character anyway.
("Tea Lizard" seems to have an attitude of "not my monkeys, not my circus." Kermit, on the other hand, while not a tight controller, feels that at the end of the day they are his monkeys and his circus.)

SeaWorld has announced a Sesame-Street themed land coming to its Orlando park, as seen at this address:

When I saw the Thought of the Week, I thought, "Pretty good start for a new Kermit."
When I heard the one sentence from the Hollywood Bowl video, it didn't seem like "The new Kermit"; it was just Kermit.
Wow, they grow up so fast. Seems like just a couple of years ago Bert was taking the training wheels off his bike, and now he's old enough that his twin brother wears a beard...
(Of course, I have a beard, too, and I never learned to ride a bike at all...)
My ranking:
The Great Muppet Caper
The Muppet Movie
The Muppets Take Manhattan
Muppets Most Wanted
The Muppet Christmas Carol
The Muppets
Muppet Treasure Island
Muppets from Space.
But ask me tomorrow and the ranking may change (except that Muppets from Space will still likely be at the bottom).
