If we have video confirmation of the episode, we don't really need that tag, regardless of how it was originally made.

Maybe it was a rights thing. They can air it still, but not stream it. Wish I knew why all the Joe Raposo tracks were cut though. The deal seemed rather hasty so they might not have been able to negotiate in time.

Yeah, I don't really care for it.

Ah, I didn't think about this one!

That's a good question. I assume they scaled back the human cast for similar reasons they narrowed the Muppet cast - there were just too many to keep track of (maybe a budget thing too). I'm sure they wanted to keep a Hispanic human around, hence Nina (poor Mando, gone too soon). But frankly...

Meh. Nice to have Ernie and some Grover/Mr. Johnson interaction. That song was really lousy though. One of my friends worked on that laundromat film, I believe (out in Georgia). And I'm just now noticing Valencia from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend was in that clothesline song from years ago.

Aw, I like Brian's Telly. He has a lot of emotional honesty with the character. Maybe we just haven't seen enough of him to fully judge, while there's 20+ years of Marty as Telly readily availible to us.

Keep in mind, these were produced for foreign markets, which do childrens programming much differently. I mean, even now, look at Cartoon Network and how they handle new episodes of Steven Universe or Teen Titans Go - they show new 11 minute episodes, not new 22 minute ones.

I understand letting those characters retire because of Richard. But, like, Sonny Friendly was apparently not sacred enough to be recasted the following season. And even then, it took them over a decade later to realize, "Hey, David took over a couple of Richard's Sesame characters. Why not do...

That article's from 2016. They must've considered the first season of 52 episodes two seasons of 26 episodes, thus considered the same with the second season. I don't think we'll see any more of it. 52 episodes is a lot for a kids' series (even if they're only 11 minutes).

One more thing: Any time Nina speaks in Spanish, it never feels natural; it always sounds forced.

I had, like, 0% interest in this. Except the Two-Headed Monster as a one-man band, which is something I can't believe they haven't done yet.

Nothing new but the street story (the H - Holiday film was originally used on the PBS airing of the recent Christmas special). I guess it was okay - that new Elmo puppet is a little freaky. It's nice Telly had a larger role, though Marty's age and abilities are starting to show. Really, the...

Eh, really the only thing worth mentioning is the return of Mumford. He still needs a little work with the voice, but it's nice to see him again.

It looks like the Grover puppet they use on Sesamstrasse.

According to Craig Shemin, the narration wasn't a part of the original airing or or original master of the special; it was added for the ABC broadcast. And they couldn't find the original recordings of the narration, so they couldn't properly mix it with the older master they were probably...

I'm a bit weary. If Jim himself couldn't make TDC work, I don't know if the production team behind Alt/Reality & The Happytime Murders will be able to.

Sounded like Matt to me (and no, not in a "He's so good I can't tell the difference" way).

I wouldn't necessarily say so; he's involved in a lot of things, sure, but none of them are really of his own creation.

Rather enjoyable - was not expecting to see so much Herry Monster.
