Well, they're also long-standing legacy characters. Baby Bear's old too (over 25 years, woof), but I don't think anyone looks to him/remembers him the way they do Mumford or Herry.

I'm not too keen on the new Rosita puppet; looks way too shaggy and kinda like she's got a bushy mustache. That alternate Oscar they've been using looks kinda lousy too. Well, for one thing, the use of the Three Little Pigs as those pink AMs predate any of those other puppet pigs. Plus, they have a more cartoony look which suits their storybook origin.
