It would be a marriage made in heaven if Henson asked Enya to write an original song for this film. Only Enya could invoke a melody and create a tapestry of sound that would fit this world perfectly.

How exciting! Finally, a production update. I'm happy to hear that Brian & Wendy Froud are in more direct contact with the production.

She hasn't responded, but I've just looked at the line up of films slated to make an appearance and POTDC is NOT one of them.

I've emailed Nicole Goldman asking her if there will be a POTDC presence this year. We'll see if she responds.

If the past is any indicator of the future, then Lisa Henson, Genndy Tartovsky & co. could give a f**k about the fans. It's a shame really. We're just here to bring excitement to this sequel, and all they do is shut us out.

I wonder what this means? I've been a PotDC troll of late, posting in various forums trying to find the smallest bit of news, or perhaps a spy close to the film who could give us a bit of an update. So far NOTHING. I've never experienced such deafening silence from an "in-production" film before.

There is a new gelfling in the sequel, if it's still happening, which could plausibly be Jen & Kira's offspring. Who knows, we may not ever.

Truth be told, I am quite F***ing sick of ALL of this so far. I would agree, pictures were shown, the fans were brought together, excitement was built, and they dropped the ball, and some how believe that silence is their best option.

This just in, from IMDB. It's a report from some one unknown claiming that the film is going through an overhaul as they get a new writer and a new director [replacing Genndy Tartovsky]. This cannot bode well for this film! Suffice it to say, if this RUMOR is true, then I have my doubts that...

Now, we're DEFINITELY less then a year away from the premiere of the film! When do people expect to see the promotion for The Power of the Dark Crystal begin? Is there any way to find the status of the film? Have they been in production? Is production finished? Are they in post production...

I just watched Labyrinth again after many many years, and I was actually quite surprised at how much poorer the production values were compared to The Dark Crystal. After repeated viewings of TDC in large part, the film is flawless, aside from maybe the mouth work of the actual puppets...
