Anybody else just love this guy's work? When it comes to memorable movie scores, his work always comes to my mind, I really dig how his scores almost always have a jazzy, toe-tapping undertone to it, especially in family movies. But then again, sometimes jazz plays a big part in the score...

Overused Plots in Movies and TV

Forgive me for not reading your post in its entirety DW, but I skimmed through it enough to know that I absolutely agree with the bringing a dead character back to life plot device. Admittedly, I've been involved in a RP game on another forum, and while one of the scenarios of the story...

Overused Plots in Movies and TV

Admittedly, I rely a lot on cultural references in my writing as well, lol. It seems like anything I write anymore has SOME kind of hidden M*A*S*H reference in it.

It probably could be done with the right people working on it and working it on camera.

Overused Plots in Movies and TV

Honestly, I haven't really seen that plot a whole lot, but the closest thing I can think of is the episode of The Andy Griffith Show where Andy joined Charlene Darling and Dudd Walsh in wedlock being he's the Justice-Of-The-Peace, but back home in the mountains, Ernest T. Bass (as played by...

Overused Plots in Movies and TV

Okay, last night MC kept conking out on me, so let's see if I can't get my post to go through today, even though there's been other posts since then and we've moved on... That's EXACTLY what I was thinking of as I mentioned that. Last year on YouTube someone posted the episode "Green with...

So, what do we call Gonzo now?

He's NOT vegetable or mineral. :p

Overused Plots in Movies and TV

Best example for that for me is The Andy Griffith Show where Andy "saves" Gomer. Another way that can go down is in the event of Recess where Vince "saves" Mikey's life, and Mikey in return wants to be exactly like Vince, from immitating his every move, to dressing and talking like him, etc.

Has anyone ever written to Sesame Workshop?

Sometimes companies like that aren't really good about answering mail from fans like that. I think Stretch Films (the animation company that produced Courage the Cowardly Dog have me on a blacklist or something, because they got pretty sick of hearing from me and my fanboy ramblings all the...

Has anyone ever written to Sesame Workshop?

I e-mailed SW months ago asking if they could confirm whether or not Bob's last name on the show really is Johnson, or if indeed he does share the same last name as Mr. McGrath. I never received a response from them.

Yup. Either that, or if the ratings start slumping, they'll have a girl-on-girl make out session to bring the numbers back up, lol.

    Things That Disappointed You

But there's other non-Season One sketches and insert that still supports the fact they live in the basement. Like an early 70s bit where Ernie wakes up in the middle of the night wondering what time it is, so he opens the window and starts singing obnoxiously into the night as the neighbors in...
