I think just about the only song that wasn't entirely cheesy in the movie was "The Whistling Caruso"... but then again, most of the songs and numbers that were part of the Muppets' show were great (Sam, Link, Rowlf, and Beaker as a barbershop quartet was hysterical), it was the other...
Now that regular members are allowed to post polls now, I figured we could take advantage of it by having interactive weekly polls, similar to the weekly survey, with an obligatory Muppet-themed poll every other week.
Here's the kick-off.
Your opinion will quickly change, I actually found it pretty cheesy and cringeworthy... it was pretty painful to watch Amy Adams sing and dance in the diner all by herself while surprisingly everyone else around her is completely oblivious.
Are you serious?! Wow, I had written to him like eleven years ago, never heard back, but yeah, I was always a big fan of his, as far as animation style goes, but as well as his wacky, offbeat, and pseudo-edgy humor in his cartoons; I loved Cow and Chicken as a kid, none of the other kids got it...
I'm just curious, what do you guys like to use to fabricate themouthplates of your puppets, both inside (where you hand goes to protect the plates from your sweat), and the outside (where people actually see)?
For years, I've bascially been using felt, and it works pretty well, though my only...
That's the way I feel about it... I mean clearly it doesn't have to be obvious (like someone mentioned the hands being held too high where you can see too much of the rods), but it still isn't like drawing attention to the falsehood of the whole thing.
Same here! When I was a kid, there was a...
I still don't understand why over the years, there's been a number of shows that utilizes puppetry in the exact same style as the Muppets, and all of them actually have former and/or future Muppet people working on them, yet only one of them resulted in a lawsuit for plagerism,w hich was...
After some lenghtily amount of time that prevented me from continuing on with my work, over the course of these past two days, I finally finished a new puppet In eeded to build... however, I was in a bit of a hurry, so it did turn out rather cookie-cutter looking, but then again, I'm not the...
Out of this "variety" pack I purchased,I wouldn't think of using like these two different almost like pressboard material, I know stuff liek that used to be used for like hat brims, andwhen those things bend, you've got a permanent fold.
I decided to salvage my gasket rubber for a more...
You know, it just now crossed my mind... with all these Henson specials being released on DVD and such that have to be edited to omit any footage including Kermit, such as Emmet Otter and The Christmas Toy and such, why can't they take a hint from Sesame Workshop whenever they release a DVD that...
And another thing too... seriously, WHAT is with the sketch paper design background all of the sudden? Why is that suddenly so popular? On deviantART it looks horrible on the new journals, and now YouTube's using this similar background on the entire site, it looks really drab.
And has anyone...
I had that exact same problem as well here recently, so the next best thing I went with was like a powdery baby pink color, which I would've needed for another puppet whose skintone IS supposed to be that baby pink color,s o yeah.
What;s the point of having "Trash-O-Madness" on the DVD? It says "oringinal pilot version", I guess it would feel more like a WAC as opposed to a regular segment from the series?
At least we get something with Joe Murray, so I'd be interested in looking at that.
I'm not sure if Frank really truly was an actual creative consultant, or if that was a title given to him since he's essentially Jim's number two guy, kind of like a lot of movies where Steven Spielberg is credited as executive producer, even though he had no actual involvement in the movie...
Kayne's a hoot, you gotta admit! I mean, you can't help but burst into laughter whenever he throws a tantrum at award shows... heck, I'd considerit an honor to be upstaged b=y Kanye ranting against me,
