Yeah, I used to watch that show in the morning, but they recently changed the time and now it's on too early in the morning for me to get up.
I think that show is so much better than the American Sesame Street the way it is now. They play much more classic clips which haven't been seen on...
I wouldn't say he's gone. They could bring him back if they wanted to. Sure it would cost money to use something new, but if they had a series of events where his news reporter role was necessary (such as the hurricane episodes or the ones where Slimey goes to the moon) it would be worth it...
Yeah, I'd like to see something like that.
I have seen a few "speechless" posters with the Looney Tunes characters after Mel Blanc died. I know that's sort of off topic here, but hearing of that cartoon reminded me of that. I would like to see that Bert and Ernie cartoon sometime. It seems...
I think he spoke in the Kenny Rogers episode. He didn't have a very big line. But somebody told him to do something and he said "okay" or something like that. I'm sure there were more eps in which he spoke. And he definately spoke in MTI when he wanted to get involved in "politics."
I'll have to listen for that again, I'm not sure either. Maybe he didn't say "ate." Maybe it was "we take our own ship." The version I have on tape is ABC's version though, so even if he did swear it was probably edited out.
I'm sure there were more. I remember reading in "The Muppet Show" book about a scene where Kermit gets knocked into the balcony when he fights "Granny the Gouger." I'm guessing that was the Zero Mostel episode. I haven't seen that one, but I'm assuming this is how it went.
:boo: Why don't...
I know what you mean since it's not just Kermit. A lot of old clips haven't been shown in a while because of the new format. Again, as I mentioned before Kermit is regularly seen on "Plaza Sesamo." Too bad our "Sesame Street" isn't more like that.
I think Snuffy being 'imaginary' would be kind of a dumb reason not to release the special on the DVD. Then again, I can see it from a child's point of view. Someone who's very young and couldn't have seen the show at the time would wonder why none of Big Bird's friends would bother to help...
:) :o :concern: WHO THINK ELMO'S WORLD NEEDS TO BE YANKED OFF 'SESAME STREET?'
(Reference to the movie "Airplane.")
Anyway, I agree that if Elmo's World were a seperate show they might have time to squeeze in more classic SS moments and stuff like that. I hear it was made into a...
That's a good question. I don't know if anything was said on the show that Maria and David were a couple, though it has been referenced many times, especially when David kissed her on Christmas Eve on Sesame Street. I do recall reading on another thread where it happened when Maria and Luis...
Yeah, I know that much. But it was mentioned in "Sesame Street" encyclopedia that this is possible because Bruno doesn't speak. Now, he did speak in "Follow that Bird" which is why I was assuming somebody else did the voice while Carroll was in the Bruno costume. It didn't even sound like a...
Actually, that's probably one of the reasons that it's not shown anymore. Since Telly has been hanging out more with Baby Bear, a lot of Telly/Oscar moments have been lost. That's real sad. If they did bring back "Ask Oscar" though, why stop there? They could also bring back "Monsterpiece...
I guess the reason they don't play those anymore is because a lot of them use the Brian Muehl or the original Marty Robinson Telly, so they might be a bit outdated. Still it would be good to see them again or even if they made some new ones.
I was wondering about that. I remember the eps where Big Bird went to camp, but I always thought that was after Mr. Hooper passed away. What was the year again? I'm thinking '82, but I would have been too young to remember back then, unless it was rebroadcast at a later date.
I liked that part. I guess Waylon Jennings died recently, so I consider "No Road Too Long" a very memorable moment.
I recall Bruno responding to this by saying, "Okay, boss." That was probably the only time he ever spoke. I don't know who did the voice though.
