Comments on "Super Chicken"
Now that I've seen the "Super Chicken" episode, I can comment on that one. First of all, starting with the opening. How would Telly know about Trash Gordon? He must have been listening in on Slimey's bedtime stories. Hmmmm.
About the street plot. I can see...
I don't know if they'd want to do that. If kids today watched Sesame Street in the first season they'd probably wonder why Gordon has an afro and why Oscar's orange and why Big Bird looks different. It would be a good idea, but it's unlikely.
Back to the Countess...
I checked the pic in sesameencyclopedia. It seems like that is von Dahling that's on the show today. I thought for sure I've seen her pic labeled as 'von Backwards." Maybe somebody did make it that way, by mistake and recently corrected it. It is unusual that they'd...
Here's something I'm kind of curious about. I've noticed that when they show segments from American "Sesame Street" on "Plaza Sesamo" and dub them into Spanish, a lot of the voices sound really good. It makes me wonder if those are the actual Muppeters. For example, could it have been...
Those are good thoughts. But quite a lot of characters have gone and made a comeback (Ex: Gladys, Hoots) so Mumford could still pop up every now and then. As for Jerry still performing him, he did perform Fred the Wonderhorse and Fat Blue this season, so hopefully he'll still perform Mumford...
I think the reason Rodeo Rosie didn't stay was because of the addition of Forgetful Jones and his girlfriend Clementine. It seems like for a while they have been the main "ranch" people and after they were added, there really wasn't much they could do with Rosie. Just my thoughts on this.
I'm Telly
Oh, no! I'm so nervous! Oh, what if I don't do this right?!
Gosh, I can do a good Telly. I'll have to remember that for the next role play. Lol.
Actually, I could see a sketch like that. But I would have added something where Telly worries that if Ernie can't squeak his duckie, he'll have to get rid of him. Then maybe they come to an agreement at the end. That wouldn't be a bad idea. As for Bert not talking to Telly, that would just...
I agree. I've never seen Sam when he was on the show, so it would have been great to see him in later episodes. I wonder how he would have interacted with Elmo or any of the new characters. He should make a come back. I don't think Jerry would still perform him, but if they could find a new...
I've noticed Oscar always sort of had a touch of a 'New York' accent. It's especially noticable on "Christmas Eve on Sesame Street."
:grouchy: "No, you-know-whats tomorrow moining!"
Well, in response to your comment about Elmo, he has been around a lot longer. It's just that Kevin Clash didn't perform the Elmo we know today until 1985.
I see what you mean though. I remember once at work, some people were talking about "The Muppet Show" and someone mentioned that it was...
Ten should be the easiest to remember since it was played on the "Street We Live On" special. Though, I remember number nine pretty well, since :sympathy: made an appearance in that one.
I agree, Jerry performed Snuffy in CESS (at least the voice). The Count didn't really show up much. I mean Jerry voiced the full body Count from "Holiday on Ice." The Muppet Count only appeared briefly during the "True Blue Miracle" song, so yes, he could have done more with the Count or even...
