That's more than I have. I've already finished school, but I don't have a girlfriend or a good full-time job. I guess we're getting a bit off subject here, so let's get back to "Sesame Street."
In response to Ilikemuppets' post, I don't think "Sesame Street" will be gone for quite a while...
I really don't know if that's Von Dahling on the show today. She looks more like the pic in the encyclopedia of Von Backwards, but if most people here say that it was Fran performing her, than I suppose Fran could have performed Von Backwards, or maybe now the Count is dating a third Countess...
I wasn't too sure myself which Countess it is. I didn't get a good look at her necklace. Though, from the photos on "Sesame Encyclopedia," I'm assuming it's Von Backwards. I really don't think Von Dahling has been around since the 70s, but I could be wrong.
O.K., let's move on to today's episode. Not too much of a plot in the street story, just basically scientific experiments. They also brought back Samara in the opening. I guess they're making her a regular now, which would be okay but I wish they'd at least make some mention of Linda. It's...
I get it. I have read in "Sesame Encyclopedia" that Fran Brill played the original Countess (von Dahling). I guess she recently took over the role of the current Countess von Backwards.
I hadn't really thought of that, but these days it doesn't seem like they make references when something happens that far back. (Mentioning Mr. Hooper is an exception since Big Bird's had his picture in his nest area for so long.) It seems like the writers were never big on continuity. For...
I have read on imdb.com that Rosita was a cross over from "Plaza Sesamo," but their info isn't always correct. I've never seen her on the "Plaza Sesamo" that's on today, unless she was on the original production as discussed in the other thread.
O.K., so we're assuming it was one of those three who performed her in yesterday's ep.
By the way, does Camille Bonora still perform Countess Von Backwards in the "Number of the Day" segments, or has she stopped performing altogether?
:sympathy: :concern: :) "Or has she stopped performing?"
I remember Rusty from the camp episodes, wasn't he kind of more of a "depressed" type of person though? It's funny that he'd wait more than 20 years to visit Big Bird. Lol.
I liked the idea about the Count and Cookie Monster. That would be a good way to get both of them in a street scene...
Nope. That was Frank's voice. This was discussed on another thread. What happened was that somebody else originally recorded the song, but it was Frank singing as Miss Piggy. Besides I've heard it in an audio recording of the song.
I was thinking about that the other day. After all, a lot of the newer characters (Zoe, Baby Bear, Rosita, etc.) were created after Richard's death I believe. It makes me wonder if they would have been created if we still had Don Music, Forgetful Jones, Sully and many other Hunt characters. A...
Didn't she leave a while ago? I remember hearing that she used to voice Mama Bear but was replaced by Jennifer Bernhardt. Though that was a few years ago. This Goldilocks sounded different then when she appeared last season. She might have had multiple performers.
Hmmm. I don't recall that he was sitting in the corner. But maybe you're right. He mentioned he was "Jack Be Nimble" and "Jack and the Beanstalk" and of course "Jack and Jill." He might not have mentioned "Jack Horner" there, but I thought he looked like that same Jack.
I agree, there are a lot more clever puns in "Vet's Hospital" than in "Pig's in Space." Also, Miss Piggy is a lot more calm in that sketch than she usually is. I'll admit, sometimes the sketch disturbed me in the first season, since Rowlf was the only character with his usual voice, still a...
