Thanks for pointing that out. I enjoy watching the DVD with my mom, but of course, that is edited. I might want to check that out when I get a chance and find out what all is missing.
Maybe the problem is that they have had so many actors who have been on the show pass away: [ex: Olivia (Aliana Reed Hall), Uncle Wally (Bill McCutheon), Mr. MacIntosh (Chet O'Brien), Willy (Kermit Love).] I guess they don't feel it would be necessary to talk about death over and over again...
Wow! First I didn't get any replies here, now we got into some deep topics. By sheer coincidence I was watching 'Big Bird in China' today and I was surprised that Big Bird threatened to beat up that monkey. Seems like they could get away with more in the earlier episodes than they are able to...
Well, it does seem like Bob and Linda did have sort of a semi-romantic relationship. I wouldn't doubt that he would ahve given her a key.
I like that part because since Snuffy was stuck in the barrel it would have been the perfect time for Big Bird to have his friends come over and meet...
I'd have to say that I like them both. I remember the 'Here Fishy, Fishy' sketch from my childhood. Though the later one was good too. Bert seems a lot more calm there. Though I should mention that technically it's not the first time Steve performed Ernie. He performed him before in the New...
I thought I'd mention this since they talked about this in "Elmo's World: Happy Holidays." I was at a church service tonight because it's mission's week and they have a service just about every night. One of the ladies there talked to the children about the dradel game. That reminded me of...
That's kind of cool, because Brian's Elmo (I think it was Brian who performed him there) had appeared in that segment and by that point Kevin's Elmo was still the star of the show. I guess that's because Elmo didn't say anything, they didn't think anyone would know the difference.
It would be nice to see a 'where are they now' thing with those people, since the special is now over 20 years old. For example, is Jon Jon aka John Williams still in the air force. Does Fanny still run track, or was that Shola? I think they were both in college back then.
I thought I heard it was before that, but maybe I was wrong. I guess that's the trouble with You Tube. They don't give you the date something first came out. I guess we'll never know for sure.
That's a good question. I know we've talked about this a while ago. I think there was an album released in the 70s where Bert and Snuffy interacted with each other and the clip with the Count counting Snuffy's jumps on the trampoline was most likely before he was revealed to the adults. It's...
I never picked up on that, but it could have been a wooded area near his cave. Just some food for thought.
I believe FTB was in production before Snuffy was revealed but they knew that it was coming so I think they avoided having any imaginary Snuffy references in the film, but they also...
I remember in one issue of SS Magazine, Dr. Price re-invented a pillow and called it a 'dream machine.' I couldn't help but wonder how he slept if he didn't know what a pillow was.
That would be a great idea if it really happened. I always thought Murray would be better if he just appeared in segments rather than hosting the whole show, plus the idea of having :) on the show more often would be a great idea as well. Maybe you should e-mail your ideas to Sesame Workshop.
Okay. I'll take a look. BTW, to the mods, it might be a better idea to wait until the second of April to post 'April Fools' in the thread topic, because if it says 'April Fools' right on the thread it sort of defeats the purpose of fooling people. Lol. Just thought I'd make that suggestion.
Oh, no! I hear the whole project has been shelved! The movie will not premiere this year after all. Click here for more info....
