You can find photos of his birthplace (not his home. I think it was a hospital) and Deer Creek by doing an Image search on www.google.com. Search by "Jim Henson". I think his birthplace is the museum now, but I'm not sure. There's a Kermit the Frog head dangling off of it. A real small one, but...
Yessir. There is at least one in Muppet Treasure Island. It's not a Fraggle, it's something else that first popped up in Fraggle Rock. During the opening scene there are a few creatures singing. I believe he sings the line:
"And those buccaneers drowned their sins in rum."
That character...
Most deffinitly. The author of the book (his name escapes me) is quite good. I just loved The Client. Very good movie. Plus, I jsut found out, Runaway Jury's only rated PG-13. A plus for us under-age viewers on the forum. I think John Cussack's a really good actor, and I'm told Gene Hackman is...
Yeah, don't it just stink when they get you wrapped up in one of those things? And then they still give you weird looks, and laugh at you, when you try to get out of the darn thing! I mean, would it kill them to give me a little help with those dang straps? Those things really hurt the arms! I...
Wow! A great idea. A thread about Jim Henson. Why hasn't it been done before? Leave it up to ol' Foz.
Well, my first suggestion would be to visit the Leland, Mississippi webpage for information on the whereabouts of the museum, and they also have some interesting tidbits on Blues locations...
Need I remind you, Frank still does plenty of performing for the Muppets, on Sesame Street and what-not. He'll return to Miss Piggy and Fozzie Bear in his due time.
Also, Frank once said something along the lines of, "Bert is grumpy. And I can be grumpy at times. You can be grumpy at times...
Well, I even got a speach about how I was too old for the Muppets from the lady working there. First she asked my Mom if she had a little girl at home she was buying them for, but, of course, they were for me. And I was standing right there, so she could let me have it! She said something about...
In my case, in most instances, I find the exact OPPOSITE to be true! Going into Hot Topic, the people in there are always friendly toward the Muppets (probably because they know they'd fit right in. LOL, j/k) and they feel the exact same way I do: that they should carry more Fraggle Rock shirts...
As was said, Dr. Teeth is currently unassigned, though John Kennedy played him in Muppets From Space, and Dave Goelz (currently performing Waldorf, another Jim Henson character) performed him in the Muppet Treasure Island Cd-Rom thing. John Kennedy is quite good at the Tooth, of course, I've...
Yes, he is, indeed. All the Muppet performers do their job wonderfully, in all respects.
btw, Bill Barretta does Rowlf the Dog, John Kennedy does Dr. Teeth, though I'm not sure if he's the permenant performer of the Golden Tooth or not.
Like Sarah said earlier, people like to do a lot of...
Oh, it's deffenitely worth seeing. There are a few parts where it gets you thinking "well, what's the point?" It all comes around in the end.
I don't want to give away too much. But, boy is it hard not to!
