Elmo on The Today Show (9/6/09)

Elmo was on again just now (9/8) with his mommy, May. They said it was her first appearance on television, and she had a notable southern accent. One of the hosts pointed that out and wondered why Elmo didn't have one. No idea who was performing Elmo's mommy. Greg

Does anyone actually like "A Special Sesame Street Christmas?"

Does anyone actually like "A Special Sesame Street Christmas?"

Actually they were made the SAME YEAR. Both of them originally aired during the 1978 Christmas season about a week apart- "A Special Sesame Street Christmas" on CBS and "Christmas Eve on Sesame Street" on PBS. That kinda-sorta explains why "A Special..." is so bad considering they were having...

does anyone out there have episode 815?

My understanding is that someone knew someone who knew someone etc. who knew Carroll Spinney. Carroll had copies of those episodes (and likely others). 573 is a similar scenario, except instead of Carroll, it was somebody at CTW. Greg

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Old School Volume 2

I apologize if I offended anyone. At first I was speculating because when I compared to the original version of the episode it didn't sound like she was singing at all. When I had discovered that she did indeed (barely) sing the song... Phillip alerted me to it by the way... we put that in...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Old School Volume 2

You may be right. I had thought she only said Happy Birthday and didn't sing it, but it seems she may have sung it. Still if that's the case, silencing the audio might have been a better option there. Greg

    Help Finding Classic Episodes

I do have a copy of "A Special Sesame Street Christmas," but that special was taped in 1978, so I'm not sure that would be it. Greg

SesameStreet.org to be launched June 1st

I realize I'm resurrecting an old thread here, but has anyone heard anything else about this site? It's June 1st and it hasn't launched. In fact there is no evidence that it's going to anytime soon--no press releases or anything like that. Greg

French Coproduction of Fraggle Rock available online

Here is the list of upcoming Fraggle episodes on the French kids channel Gulli. (I translated their French titles and am listing the corresponding US title.) I'm assuming these are the co-production and not just the US version translated. Une grotte pour deux - A Cave of One's Own L'eau...
