Well, my concerns all exist within the writing, actually. But, I will try to be optomistic...

Wow... I think three people just posted at once. (almost) :p

Weinstein rolls with Fraggle Rock movie

Don't get so uppity, muppity! :) Hehe. Sorry... couldn't resist. You make a good point that it might not happen, but then again, it might so. Anyway, I was just thinking... am I wrong in worrying about this Fraggle project? This may sound like something Byron posted a while ago in his own...

Your Thoughts: The Muppet Show Season 3

Something I noticed wasn't mentioned in the review, though I think it was in the last two... what images appear on the DVDs themselves? Is the disc art available anywhere to view?

    Traditional Animation: The Return

Yeah, I don't like most of the Dreamworks animated movies. I still do not understand the appeal of Shrek. I didn't like the first one, now they're making a fourth? Wow.

    Truth commercial: Muppets & smoking

Yeah, I know The Muppet Movie isn't really based on Wizard of Oz, there's just similarities. The Great Mouse Detective was one of my favorite Disney movies, by the way.

    Truth commercial: Muppets & smoking

Well, technically, The Muppet Movie was a nod to Wizard of Oz, but... :)
  8. Super Scooter

    Truth commercial: Muppets & smoking

The fact that in The Great Mouse Detective, pretty much all of the characters smoke, and the fact that someone stated that The Muppet Movie isn't the only supposedly "kids" movie to have smoking in it.

    Cabin Fever

21 characters, plus his 2 silent characters. Incredible, all right!

Jim Henson and Kermit the Frog vs. Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse

Hiya, Andrew! Thanks for posting that about Disney. I read his wiki page, and I was more shocked about his accusations of communism than anything else. Understandable for the times, I suppose. Nice to have something posted here showing he was most likely not anti-semitic, though.

Weinstein rolls with Fraggle Rock movie

Hmm. Cory Edwards is writing? Was Doogal any good? I didn't see it, and I really can't remember if I liked Hoodwinked.

    PROTECT your creations!

I'm not able to send the letter, because there are a few things there that don't apply to me at present. I don't have my own business, but I was working towards that. I was hoping to have one by the end of next year. Is there a version of the letter that any artist, even those who don't...

    Truth commercial: Muppets & smoking

Haha! Nice. I've done that a few times, though it doesn't seem to stick (the vegetarianism... cheeseburgers always stick to the ribs). I find that the Truth commercials are very important. After all, how else can cigarette companies advertise their product? Really, I think they...

    Traditional Animation: The Return

Actually, Chicken Little is one of the few Disney CGI movies (excluding Pixar) that I like. There a few parts I don't like in it, but overall, I thought it was pretty good. The character style was very Chuck Jones, which was kinda neat to see done in 3-D. The only part I remember not liking was...

Editorial: The Next (Segal & Stoller) Muppet Movie

Just a small note on the editorial (which is great, by the way): Jerry Juhl's script was Muppets From Space (not the version we see now, but somewhat different). Kirk Thatcher's script was Muppets in Space.

Disney Enlists Segel & Stoller for new Muppets movie

A lot of Muppets From Space changed, such as the fact that originally, Gonzo was supposed to remain a whatever by the end of the film (he thought the aliens would be his family, but it turned out they weren't). But, that's in the past I guess. :concern:

The Walt Disney Company returns to their roots with the upcoming feature film The Princess and the Frog. It's scheduled for the end of 2009, and it will be the first traditionally animated movie from the company in five years! Not only that, it's a musical! Finally, a return to the type of work...
