... Rowlf's played by Jim Henson? :)
Seriously, though, I made a mistake. I meant "Carbon Paper". I dunno why I was thinking "Cottleston Pie". Maybe cuz Rowlf sings both on his album. According to Muppet Wiki, it's Frank Oz performing Annie Sue for that number, though.
I'm sure "Dominos Guy" isn't going to be replacing Steve Whitmire, either. :) I just hope Segel's not the type that thinks "Oh, Kermit's voice is a little off. We need to get a new guy in for this." I'm sure he's probably not, the comment just threw me off a little bit.
That happened alot. Frank (maybe Jim and maybe some of the other Muppeteers) would perform one of Louise's characters during the big numbers while she was still learning. If you look at "Cottleston Pie," that looks alot like Jim's movements.

Late contribution to the Randy Newman discussion...
Just wanted to note that Randy Newman did a pretty good job on the music for The Three Amigos. Sure, the songs didn't really do much to move the story along, and weren't really meant to, but they were pretty good.
:concern: Dave Goelz talked about this pilot in an interview a little while ago. He said they worked on a project that was pretty much just to get the group together to work on anything, really. He said it might lead to something, but who knows. (completely paraphrased, of course)
Actually, I'm sorry if my last post might have been a little misleading, but he said that the story of The Dark Cyrstal film doesn't lend itself to continuation. The story pretty much ends there. But, he did say other stories could take place within that world. They created enough world, several...
I'm fairly certain the opening scene was kind of a nod to American Graffiti. I don't know for sure, I've never actually seen the movie, but I would assume so.
The appearance of the Ark of the Covenant (nod to Raiders of the Lost Ark).
"I've got a bad feeling about this." Nod to Star...
Hmm. Personally, I agree with what Jim said about The Dark Crystal. The story just doesn't lend itself to a sequel. Maybe that's why it's being delayed. If it's a completely different storyline set within that world, perhaps, and hopefully, that's kind of what they're working toward, whether it...
Hehe. I love finding new stuff in Muppet productions. There's one episode, after the band starts playing the end theme, where Kermit says, "You've been a wonderful laugh track!"
:boo: : The Muppets use a laugh track?
 : Of course! They couldn't get 'em to laugh any other way!
(...
I dunno. I think there might be some people who would be offended by the fact that the Japenese Muppet characters sing, "Oh, we know we berong to the rand. And the rand we berong to is gland." Or the fact that all of the French in that episode are represented by Muppet frogs. I think you're...
:) I've taken those Muppet personality tests before, and they always say I'm like Kermit, though I really don't think that's true. I love Kermit, he's my favorite Muppet, but I don't think I'm really like him... at least, not entirely.
:coy: In reality, I'm much more like Wembley. I wemble...
Technically, The Muppets Go to the Movies should have been released on a special edition of The Great Muppet Caper (the same with The Muppets Go Hollywood with The Muppet Movie). They were released to sort of advertise those movies, although I always have thought of The Muppets Go to the Movies...
 That would be awesome! I'd get it, even if I have already bought all of the other sets. I have The Dick Van Dyke Show all in one set, and there's something nice about having them all together. The box is a bit flimsy, but it's still nice having them all together like that in a collection...
I don't think the Spike Milligan episode is cut. At least, the Muppet Central review says these episodes are uncut. And there is some stuff he does that, I suppose, some might find offensive.
I was worried about this, too. There was a discussion not too long ago about cartoons smoking, and...
It's an old standard. The Muppets are known for doing that kinda stuff, or gently parodying them. Like with The Muppets Take Manhattan. That story's been used a lot!
I'd say it's very worth it. It's nice to have an official DVD of the entire third season. If you're one to buy DVDs based on special features, maybe not so much (although what's there is good). The box... eh, you get used to it.
Also, if you're concerned about the Zoot endings, for me to get...
I agree. I personally prefer to see the Muppets kinda stick with puppetry, but the idea for this was just fantastic, I would have liked to have seen it made.
There were three proposed series. Did you check out the other two?
