I actually have plans to get a real Muppet tattoo sometime in the not so distant future. I'm tied between having my first tattoo be either Muppet or Watchmen oriented (I might go with Watchmen cause I've had the idea for a while). But I do fully intend on a Muppet tattoo someday. I'm just still...
I'm pretty sure I had this dream again, or at least some form of it, because I kept going back to sleep to continue my conversation with Bill Barretta, but I remember this time what it was about. We were conversing about how to choreograph "Walter's big dance number". Oh dreams, stop being amazing.
But Walter is so adorable with his little blue suit and his Kermit watch and the Kermit shirt he occasionally wears and his parted hair and his - You get my point. He's adorable. And yeah, I think seeing the movie just adds to his already existing adorableness.
I can't say this movie made me cry than any other movie ever has in my life (watch Requiem for a Dream. That movie'll have you in the fetal position and crying for nearly a half an hour after it's over). Pretty much every movie makes me cry (don't believe me? Clerks II. I cried during Clerks...
I was that person. It's funny because I went with a three year old and a five week old baby. The three year old? Would not stop talking. The five week old baby? Barely made a peep.
I loved that Gonzo was with the chickens, right next to Camilla (I really just loved the Gonzo/Camilla-ness of this film). And I loved Fozzie's teddy bear! Such a great moment in the movie!
Another moment I loved? Beau. I love the idea that he's just been there all this time. :D
I wrote a line in my Muppet slam poem a couple weeks ago that is akin to this topic:
"A world in which I am known solely as a Walter
Because I see the beauty, the hilarity, the gentility and grace
That each and every Muppet has managed to create"
While I can't say I could relate 100% to...
Quick question: Rowlf, at the end of the film, is wearing a hat. For some reason the picture really stuck out to me. Is this paying homage to something in the past? I feel like it's referencing something, but I can't put my finger on it... or is it just Rowlf wearing a spiffy hat?
I forgot about the subtitles when I was writing it up last night! I just back from seeing it a second time, and the subtitles for both Camilla and Swedish Chef still got me to laugh out loud. And Rowlf's bit where the found him (ie. his montage bit) is probably my favorite part of the entire...
When you see a commercial for a video game and a character is obsessively going on about how he wants to blow something up and you look at your TV, deadpan serious, "Crazy Harry did it first."
