This.
I too love Animal, but it's always sort of bothered me while the other Muppets went into submission he was the only one who stayed on T-shirts and basically stayed a fashion fad.
So, no idea what I was dreaming up, all I know is every time I got up this morning I hit the snooze button because if I didn't go back to sleep "Steve and Bill would be mad at me". I'm assuming that I was dreaming about working on a project for Steve Whitmire and Bill Barretta... or, I dunno...
Maybe find times to hang out with her when she's not around? Or, maybe don't blatantly tell your friend you don't like her, but hint at it? Or at least make it clear that you prefer hanging out with just him and not the two together?
I'm so glad they're bringing these characters back. I can't even begin to express how much I've missed Rowlf. He was always my favorite as a kid, and the fact that he hasn't been around much as I've grown up has been a major bummer. And seeing Scooter front and center puts a smile on my face.
Does anyone know if there are clips of this yet on the interwebz? Or does anyone have a recording? I'd love to watch it!
Well... I guess it did just air a couple hours ago... but yeah, if anyone comes across a clip please post it for all of us who missed out!
I agree with this so very much. People always make a fuss about the Muppeteers who've taken over, but I think the second generation of Muppeteers are doing great. Steve's Kermit definitely isn't Jim's Kermit, but I also grew up with Steve doing Kermit so I have absolutely no qualms with him. And...
Whoops! I thought I read that David was Scooter in that. Guess I was wrong!
I strongly agree with both your comments. I felt all giddy seeing the Muppeteers' faces at the end, and I think the Muppets have finally become what they once were again. :)
I've noticed this recently too. I watched Muppets Wizard of Oz the other day and I was shocked to see the comparison between that and the more recent stuff David's done as Scooter. He's improved so much!
Really? The kissing one was probably my favorite non-Muppet sketch. I guess the food being spit everywhere was kind of disgusting... but I thought the Bill/Jason kiss made up for all that. ;)
You can really clearly see Dave at the opening. And you can also definitely see Eric crouching when Jason heads over to the piano to start up the song.
I was also hoping for a bit where the SNL cast members would play the Muppets, like they did for the Seth Rogen episode. I figured Nasim could take over Janice, Taran I bet could do a Kermit, and I thought Paul would be an adorable Walter. And then the actual Muppets could have come in at the...
I'm surprised Walter wasn't there. I'm still convinced I saw Peter Linz in the audience when Statler and Waldorf did their bit. In fact.... here. Here's a screenshot I just took:
The yellow arrows are pointing to who I believe is Peter Linz. Right? Was he helping opperate maybe Fozzie, since...
