So I just went and saw Being Elmo yesterday, and every time Richard was brought up I grinned ear to ear. My friend who was with me chuckled when I started bouncing in my chair the first time Richard was mentioned and murmuring "I love so much, Hannah, you don't even know."
Okay, am I the only one who found this part of the film slightly heartbreaking? I mean, the song is funny on its own with all the changes made to it, and I find them taking such a poignant/beautiful song and making it about something so pointless hilarious, but what about the actual scene of...
Let's see...
Rowlf's montage moment is my favorite. As Rowlf said: "Classic."
Gonzo's bowling ball. And his "I've been wearing this under my suit for years!"
Jim Parsons, Zach Galifianakis, and Jack Black.
80's Robot when he keeps running into the wall.
Man or Muppet.
And Muppet Man!
So... I definitely had a dream where I made out with Steve Whitmire... yeah...
And not twenty-four year old ‘look-how-effing-adorable-I-am’ Steve. We’re talking fifty-two year old ‘I’m-almost-as-old-as-your-father’ Steve. I really blame this on just how steeped in Muppet culture I’ve been these...
I've been stuck in a car for the past six hours of my life (oh iPhone, your Internet access is a god send) and will be still stuck for another hour. Thanks to the Muppets soundtrack I have been anything but bored. I've been listening to it all this time. There was even one hour where I did...
I know it's already been discussed how Rizzo does appear in the background and how they wanted to focus on main/classic TMS characters, but I still wished for more Rizzo. I was so excited for his and Gonzo's reunion. I wasn't expecting anything major, just a hug or something. Oh well. :sigh:
I did this two! But I only found two parts that had pictures. The first time Walter's in Jim's old office (there's a picture of Jim and Kermit on the wall), and then the banner on Hollywood Blvd. that was up on a lamp post. Were there more?
What he says to Piggy about only needing just one person to believe in you is poignant in and of itself, but another reason it gets me is because my mind immediately goes to the song "Just One Person" which I will forever associate with Jim's passing. I like to think they did that on purpose to...
Awesome!!!
ALSO. Did anyone notice that Steve was credited for Rizzo in the credits? I'm guessing Rizzo had maybe a scene that was cut? Because Rizzo had literally zero lines in this movie, and that wouldn't make sense... So, yeah, I'm hoping for a deleted scene that includes our favorite rat!
Can I say the whole thing? Cause I'm pretty sure the first time I saw this film I was teary the whole way through... But here are more specific parts:
The hand holding, and just the overall performance of "Rainbow Connection"
Any emotional speech given by any character at any point of this...
Another quick question: Does anyone know the quote, verbatim, that Walter says near the beginning of the movie. I'm gonna screw it up, but it's something along the lines of "As long as their are singing frogs, bears that tell jokes, life is wonderful." That's definitely not how it goes, but it's...
One of my favorite moments in the movie is just those five seconds of silence as Scooter sweeps and hums, then it cuts to Kermit who says "......this is boring." And then they all start rocking out!
Great picture, as usual, Slackbot! :D
I love the Gonzo hat, but I never wear baseball caps so I feel like it'd be a waste for me to get it. I've love a beanie though. I should make a friend drive me to Walmart this weekend. :)
Saw the movie for the third time today. Today was the first time the theater was actually full, and I was sort of worried about how such a large audience would react to it, but everyone was wonderful. They laughed at the right parts, most of the people seemed to get the references to TMS and the...
When he talks about how, at the first table read, when Kermit read his first line and he just broke down crying? My heart swells. I used to get infatuated with celebrities/actors all the time growing up, since guys never gave me the time of day so it was just easier to fall in love with the...
When I get internet back on my laptop tonight, I'm gonna be ordering me one of these little guys. After seeing the movie in theatres three times I really can't go without one. :)
