Overused Plots in Movies and TV

One overused plot is the "minister wasn't liscenced, so we're not really married" plot, or some variation of it. I own two television shows on DVD that used it (Dick Van Dyke Show and Dinosaurs) and I know Jetsons did it. There were many other sitcoms that used it.

    Coco Fans Unite!

I forgot last night was Conan's last episode, and missed all but the very end. But what an ending! A beautiful speech from Conan, and a great jam session. I've always loved Conan's show, and what has happened is just lousy. Even though he got the money that he did to leave, it's obvious he...

What if Fraggle Rock could have been seen by all?

I wasn't born until Fraggle Rock's last season, so I didn't have this issue exactly... but I still never actually saw Fraggle Rock til I was 16! But, I'd like to add that it's also a shame that the show isn't CURRENTLY on tv anywhere. I think reruns of the show would generate interest...

    The Muppet Mindset

Yeah, prawnie. About a month ago, I made the Muppet Mindset the homepage on my computer. First Muppet thing I see when I log on. I checked my old homepage yesterday, the Muppet Newsflash, and it hadn't been updated since I made the change. It's a shame it seems to have died out. Hope all's well...

So, what do we call Gonzo now?

Productions since Muppets from Space refer to Gonzo as a "whatever". In the special features created for the 50th anniversary DVDs, he's called a whatever rather than an alien. He's not officially recognized as an alien anymore, and I agree with that 100% because of what D'Snowth said, and...

Behind the Scenes- Joe Pesci on SST

The video with Julie Louis-Dreyfuss is funny. The one with Benny's all right. But, Joe Pesci spitting on Elmo? That's terrible! How could anyone be so disgusting and rude? If he were to spit on one of the human actors, would it have been funny to anyone? I don't see how he could have possibly...

    New York Creature Shop

The workshop in New York was formerly known as "The Muppet Workshop." That was before the sale to Disney. It has since become a division of the Creature Shop, and is often referred to as Jim Henson's Puppet Workshop. They do mainly just the "soft" puppets like Sesame Street characters...

    Things That Disappointed You

Wait... the Honkers and Dingers DON'T work? I seriously thought they did. I mean, I know they'd still have to add them in post-production to sound clearere, but... I dunno. Just seems like they should work. It wouldn't be that hard to make them work. Anyway, I suppose I was disappointed to...
