considering th epoor quality, i dont think its really a concern, but yes when you do evrything in your power(regardless of talent) to create a duplicate (excempt in cases of parody) then yes it is infringement
well persoanlly i think it ridiculous, as do some people involved with puppetry in new york, and quite frankly if you see what the out come of this "TRAINING" you know you are not looking at a real puppeteer, there are plenty of good looking and young attractive looking acors in the world sure...
i talked to these guys about building this project, although our discusions never seemed to go anywhere, looks like they got some one good though, a little to muppety to me, but over all nice stuff, i like the nose especially
well i think it would give you some insites to the other uses of puppetry, although they do teach some Video puppetry,
but going to school thier isnt going to gaurentee u a job with the muppets,
some people who have gone their have worked for the muppets in the past , but many more come...
sorry for the presumption , any who, you can always go and see it yourself, (asumming your are old enough to buy a ticket , and get to th ecity on your own, maybe sort of see it to test weather or not your family would appreciate the humor,
i can understand, i worked on the sho, and still have yet to go see it with my family, i love when they get to se things i have done, but not to keen on sitting next to my mom during a few scenes, (even though i think its funny, )
again, may be its something for u and your wife or what ever...
it all depends, on what you are doing with the company,
puppeteers are SAG, or AFTRA mebers, so if they are only day players(or background puppeteers )they are generally making scale, which is like 300 dollars or so for the day, sometmes more sometimes less,
the main performers are...
it is not for young children, or pre-teens, think of it as being PG-13 or so, its a fun musical, but not for the faint of heart , or people who dont like humor on the edge,(no violence, but it does have sexual undertones and themes, and some obsecnity through out it)
if this doesnt scare you...
"While that may be true, these forms of puppetry are no where near as endearing and cute as muppet style puppets. When was the last shadow puppet show you saw on tv? And if the rod puppets aren't MST3K style, nobody is going to watch. There is not much of a demand for the 'other' kind of...
you know it seems like a good idea, but it is rarely easy,
getting cleints is a hard thing to do, and finding ones who are willing to pay what it costs to have a professinal puppet built is even harder, i have been freelancing for the last 2and a half years and i can tell u it is no picinic...
well here are my thoughts on the wolf cracking problem,
when using paint on foam, with no coating it is best to have a light touch, acrilyics will eventually harden and that sort of defaets the purpose of making a flexible foam puppet,
dye your foam a base color, then you can go in and...
no matter what foam will eventully deteriorate.
sculpt or coat, works well, on regular foam, i havenot used it on scott foam, my only concern is thatscott foam has larger pores, but you can experiment.
as for painting, if you have a basic color you can dye scott foam with rit dyes and then...
you wont find fozzie bear fur any wear , the stuff the original was made out of , and all the current fozzies as well.was made in the 1970's, they do not make it any more, all though if you had a sample of the fabric you could contact a fabric mill that makes fake fur , and ask them to make some...
Clearly the thinking of someone who is not in the industry, and has never had to work with him, dude, just because he is Jims son does not mean he inherited the talent and ablility,
if he was doing such a great job, the muppets wouldnt have needed to be sold to 2 different coprpoate monsters,
