well i used to like sesame street, but the last 10 years the show has seen a done turn in the quality of its productions, and quite frankly , i have a had enough of the one trick pony called ELMO, could trhat charecter be any more anoying, and the recent change in formats has turned it in to...
got to agree with punknpuppets here,
if you dont like something dont support it dont watch it, nobody is forcing you to,
secondly, as i have stated before in other threads , any puppet project that uses hand and mouth puppets is going to look muppet like, its a style of puppetery much...
is it just me, or does it seem that nobody reads thru soem of these posts?
anyway, buck and phil are right, it is highly unlikely that they will do some sort of open cattle call in the near or distant future, and besides as i have stated before, in order to puppeteer in film or telelvision...
since i dont know what your are building for its hard to answer, i build for productions , not for general public consumption, so i dont need to worry about little kids swalloig the eyes and choking,
i generally glue a piece of foam that i have carved , to the inside of the shape, then glue...
you would be suprised how many come here, of course alot of the time, we think you folks are nuts(see the thread asking what sort of soda dave goelz likes)
but most dont post, since i dont work there anymore, i dont mind posting, of course should i ever start working there again, i probaly...
not exactly an answer to the topics quetion. but some good info to the people here who may not understand the basics of muppet puppeteering, ,
it might be more helpful to describe how you were asked to come and audition.

well your getting there, might i suggest that when working with short pile fur you sew by hand, it helps avoid that hard seem also it looks like your covering is a little to big, you dont need to make it so much larger than your foam understructure, the skin pattern should only be about an 1/8...
no i wasnt close to any of the puppeteers, the workshop and the puppeteering are two very seperate things, rarely did the two groups interact, at least now adays, i do consider most of the people i worked with at the shop friends, and i do know some of the puppeteers, but not on a social level...
