    Bad Baby Names

Y'know, I like Apple too. (not her mom, though) It's probably the only fruit name that works. (Kiwi would be a hard sell) For example: "This is my daughter, Apple." not bad "This is my daughter, Banana." BAD

The most DATED thing on classic Sesame Street?

I was wondering about that possibility, actually...sadly, I haven't seen that particular clip (about the bridges).

Okay, you got the munchies...bad...and you run to the nearest convenience store....what do you get? (unlimited money...) A Hazelnut Cadbury bar (king sized), a bag of Soy BBQ Crispy Minis (omigod, they're good!) and a bottle of Diet Coke. ( I need the salty to balance out the sweet)

    Favorite Cartoon/Comic Strip

LOVE The Far Side!! My fave is this cartoon block with an old man's head resting in an arm chair and his grandkids are seated around him. The Grandmother yells from the kitchen, "Geez, can't you tell them any other story other than the one about your head!!?" Calvin and Hobbes is...

The most DATED thing on classic Sesame Street?

Yeah, it was kind of a sing-song "doo doo doo doodoo doo doo" a wierd echo-y harmony thing going on, too..okay, I can only cyber-sing it, but I do have that clip and it is quite catchy...great. Now it's stuck in my head and I can't get it out! Haha! ;) It somehow really suited the clip.

Favourite Muppet Main Character - Why?

I love both Rowlf and Gonzo. Rowlf is the smart, low-key and witty one and Gonzo's just over the top. It's a relatively balanced dichotomy and it suits my personality. Floyd Pepper is in there somewhere, too, though. :sympathy: :concern: :sing:

    Does anyone remember this product?

Well, well, well! It appears that I actually have this little toy piano that you speak of! I found it at Value Village about a month ago! My daughter actaully brings it into bed with her! Not to cuddle, of course, but to play. You're right, it is a little creepy. Got it for 3 bucks...

    Anyone have Muppet Tattoos?

Mmmmm...muffins (~droool~) Scratch and sniff, eh? Oooh... I just thought of all those women who have roses tatooed on their breast. Anyway, I have three tatoos. 1. Tiny black heart just resting above my bikini line 2. Black spider with shadowing (from liner notes in an Alice Cooper...

    Looking For Pictures

I am looking for some pictures of the earliest versions of Telly (when his eyes had those hypnotic spirals) and Mr.Snuffalupagus. I have the early ones of Big Bird and Bert, a couple poor shots of the Count and a greenish Grover. Any help would be appreciated.

    Bad Baby Names

(late to the post as well, apologies to any repeats) two of my faves: "No, it's spelled 'Raymond Luxury Yacht', but it's pronounced, 'Throat Warbler Mangrove'!" I actually saw on a talk show a little girl blessed with the name Cash Monee(pronounced 'moh-nay') Haha! My brother's friend...

The most DATED thing on classic Sesame Street?

So it's the hair, the clothes, the 'groovy songs' and the 'technology'.... all rolled up into one big ball of classic SS goodness. And the little things the characters would say, like: "nifty!" "swell!" "kicky!" and of course, "groovy!" I'm thinking Bert, primarily here, and I know...

My Opinion On:Sesame Street Celebrates 20

Thanks for the review...can this be found anywhere in stores (ie video, DVD, etc.?) 2 thoughts: I remember Squeal of Fortune and how annoying it was...in a funny way. And I am intrigued. You say 'another dumb commercial...'...what's it about? I look forward to hearing more!

    Full Blown SS Dream!

I had this vivid SS dream last night. Haven't had one in a while, maybe all this talk, about it creeps into my subconcious and blah blah blah. I remember: I knew that a classic episode was going to be on and my heart and sould was dying to see it. The opening credits were basically the...

The most DATED thing on classic Sesame Street?

;) The clothes, baby, the clothes! Haha! PURE seventies...just shining through! And the end credits for the earlier 90's shows with the hip hop beat and those kids trying to do the running man and MC Hammer moves. Even Big Bird danced along.
