Merry Christmas!
Phew! What a day!
My daughter loved the set of drums Santa got her! I took a picture of her in her Princess p.j's with a silver tiara on her head while she completely rocked out!
Hope everyone had a lot of fun, chocolate, friends and family smiles!
:) :excited:
Merry Christmas to all!
get up a little extra early. Sneak off to the Christmas tree and put the lights on...keep all the other ones off. Put on your fave Christmas music, open the curtains to watch the snow and sit and sip some cocoa or coffee. Breathe in the pine, close your eyes and just...
Bah Humbug...I went to all the stores I could muster time to wander through for specifically looking out for those items and do you think I could find them? Noooo! And I can't find the Muppet Magic Ed Sullivan DVD dealie, either....grrr...
It wasn't really claymation as much as small marionette type puppets. Which part scared you...when the number eight fell or the daughters appearing in the windows one by one? The joker was little manic, admitedly.
Cute skit...too bad it scared you.
I thought Puzzle Place was a pretty good show, actually! And Between the Lions is awesome cuz of the whole phonics angle. Mind you, it's a little like Reading Rainbow...hey kids! Sit in front of the Boob Tube and let us tell you how awesome reading is! No ,no, don't get up...we'll read the...
Talk about jumping into a thread...ah, better late than never, eh!
:)
My fave author is Roddy Doyle. Honestly, his Barrytown Trilogy (The Commitments, the Snapper and The Van) were hilarious. He has written a couple more serious themed books, equally as lovely.
I also enjoyed:
Roots...
Dude, if I'm gonna spend $40 bucks at a movie, it's not going to be the SpongeBob one. ;)
I'll stick to my trusty television.
Mind you a cameo of David Hasselhoff is strangely appealing...haha!
I've tried watching one episode, too. Couldn't get into it. It's frustrating when there's SO MUCH hype about it, so much merchandise and so on, and then when you watch it, you're completely let down...like, what the...!
Well, I can't watch it just once and make any sort of opinion on it...
Here's a couple more:
*A puppy trying to climb up a set of wooden stairs to the house. He would run along the length of one and scramble up and then run along the length of the next in the opposite direction to do the same. he made it to the top, thankfully...he was the cutest little dog...
I'm howlin' here. I adore Conan O'Brien. He wrote for the Simpsons and SNL, so he knows what he's doin'. I didn't see this particular show, but I can just imagine him narrating the whole bit.
:) ;)
Oh, yeah!
I'll try to do this as best as my memory allows...:
Bert calls Ernie in to the room because the television is flsahing this white uppercase letter H in the screen. A voice repeats "H H H H" kinda creepy, really. "Something's wrong with the television." Bert...
I was completely addicted to Yesterdayland a couple years back.
Thanks for redirecting me to something similar!
MC still kicks a lot of you-know-what, though!! ;)
I would say WofO definately had some elements of influence on Labrynth.
WofO: frustrated girl with responsiblilties
Labrynth: check!
WofO: girl dreams of fantasy world
Labrynth: check!
WofO: girl makes mistake (runs away)
Labrynth: check (gives brother to Goblin King)
WofO...

This year, we're getting our new house,so I guess there's not much better thing to ask for than shelter from the Canadian elements.
Every year, I can pretty much guarantee there's Body Shop Products, Jelly Bellies, a C.D or two and various knick-knackery under the tree for me.
My...
(hey PugLover, I remember that one from SS)
And as I recall, in the days of Sam and Friends, didn't our friend Kermit (not yet a frog) pop on a blonde wig occassionally to lip-sync the songs of the day?
:)
I happen to have the whole series for my daughter....
the recipe for dough remains the same, the cookies are different:
"cutting them into strips to form your favorite letters..."
"cutting them into strips to form them into numbers..." (the Count ends up wanting to count them, and not eat...
Ah, my highschool did Fiddler on the Roof as well!!
My brother and a good friend were in it.
My brother was a Russian dancer (Sasha) and my friend was the Rabbi.
Very well done.
