    Question from Sesame Street

Unfortunately, you won't be seeing #2226, because they're not going to show those old shows anymore. :(

Sesame Street Letter of the Day: E

I loved that song! It was supposed to sound like the musical Cats!

How did Elmo become so popular?

I don't mean to confuse you. When I said that it's all very complicated, I meant that child development has changed a lot within the last 30 years. For instance, a 7-year-old today is equivalent to a 10-year-old 30 years ago. So part of the reason why the audience has gotten so much younger...

Sesame Street CD Boxed Set Track List

Ok, let's get back on the subject of the box set. I am not happy with their selection. I would like to see the ones that were mentioned in this thread on there, too. And I wouldn't include anything that was post-Season 25. I guess I liked some of the old celebrity appearances, but not so much...

    Newsflash Segments...

There was another version of Sleeping Beauty where The Prince kissed Sleeping Beauty, and she did wake up, but then The Prince fell asleep! An early Cinderella news flash was at the ball, and he interviews Cinderella and Prince Charming. I remember he dropped the glass slipper and broke it at...

    What happened to NOGGIN?

That would be a great idea! Someone already thought of it before! They could also have a CTW channel, that would play all the old shows that were on Noggin at one time, like Sesame Street Unpaved, The Electric Company, 3-2-1 Contact, Square One TV, and 123 Sesame Street Season 25. How does...

    Newsflash Segments...

I do have a show that has the Sleeping Beauty that you're asking about. Now the show has some problems, but I don't know about that particular sketch. The Cinderella one that you're talking about I don't have. I have seen it on Plaza Sésamo, but I have never even seen it in English. Didn't...

How did Elmo become so popular?

Sadly, I don't think that will happen. They have done research saying that kids don't like those old characters anymore, because they're too old-fashioned, especially Bert. I think they like Ernie, since he has his own part now too, and kids still like Big Bird. Now, I have been told that Global...

    Newsflash Segments...

I think I have all of those. But some of them had more than one version, like Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. Which versions were you looking for?

Skit with Cookie Moster & Baker...

It was never on Unpaved, but I do have it.

    What Ever Happened To Grover?

Yes, that is very true. He had a much deeper voice, and he wasn't even called Grover until the 2nd season when he became blue.

Sesame Street Live Shows from the Seventies

One of them was actually released on record. It was called "Concert: On Stage--Live!" It had Big Bird, Snuffy, Cookie, and the adults.

    What happened to NOGGIN?

I know! :( I'm as upset as you! :( But in that other thread, I completely explained, sadly, why they took it off.

    What Ever Happened To Grover?

I have a bunch of early 90s episodes on tape.

    Adding Life To Sesame Street

That might not be a bad idea with the lamp post. I do remember a skit where Grover wanted to show "away from," and found a lamppost. So he wanted to get "away from" the lamppost, but it followed him wherever he went. It's like Grover and the lamppost were playing tag. Then, he got tired, and...

Which Unpaved episodes were these songs featured?

Okay, then I guess it wasn't. How many recordings of that song do you think there were anyway?

    Question for ssetta

Thumbelina was a purple AM with blonde, curly hair, and a white hat, like Mary (as in Mary Had a Little Lamb), Little Bo Peep, and most of those nursery rhyme characters. And she was performed by Camille Kampouris.

    What's your favorite letter segment?

It means that they would add music and/or sound effects. They did that with a lot of old animations in the mid 90s. It was because people thought the show sounded a little dead. That is, they thought there were too many spots that had no music.

Which Unpaved episodes were these songs featured?

Actually, the version on 1446 was partly a remake. If you listen closely, what they did was they used the original audio recording, and Big Bird lip sank to it. They used to do that a lot when they would re-do songs.

    Honk Around the Clock

If you look closely, there was actually something wrong with the clock. The hands were NOT motorized. They were supposed to be, but if I remember correctly, I think they kept having trouble with it. You can tell because they're not always running at the same speed. Whoever was working them...
