Actually, the version on 1446 was partly a remake. If you listen closely, what they did was they used the original audio recording, and Big Bird lip sank to it. They used to do that a lot when they would re-do songs.

Well, it was actually Big Bird from his goofy days, but it was not the same recording. Was the original version ever on?

Well I mean he was lip-synching to an older recording, its just not the original... or at least not the one on the Sesame Street Book and Record. It was also re-recorded sometime in the 80s with Big Bird's new non-dopey voice.
