Well, I don't think the Jim Henson Company would let them use him anymore. If so, they would have to pay extra, because he's not considered a Sesame character anymore, he's mainly a Muppet character.
Actually, I agree with Mikealan about him taking over. He sure has taken over the whole street, and will continue to do so until he ends up with his own show.
About the Muppets visit Sesame Street thread, I actually do like it, and I think they could do it, since some SS characters were on the muppets at one point in time.

There was nothing in between the the "Banana In Ear" sketches on Noggin. There probably was back when it aired on PBS, but Noggin used to actually put the break in between those 2 sketches.
I seem to remember this Kermit/Grover sketch from 1998, I think this was the only time it ever aired, and I could swear it was with Steve Whitmire. Kermit was in his house explaining about dark and light, and he has a lamp. So he turns the lamp off to explain dark. And at that moment, Grover...
