I was just checking a DVD site and spotted something interesting...

The above is a link to a scan of the back cover to Columbia's upcoming Vol. 6 DVD... if you notice this is the first time they've listed the bonus materials on the back...
Ooh - I just checked the HMV website and the price is now £21.99!!! It says Chart Price Crash so I'm guessing that's only because it's in their chart...
I hate making decisions!!! £21.99 just for Peter Ustinov, Bruce Forsyth, Twiggy, Christopher Reeve, Andy Williams, Shirley Bassey and Glenda...
How about a review of that set???
I'm still undecided as to whether to buy the HMV set or not - I already have the 15 US Time Life DVDs so I would only be getting 7 new episodes (I think) for my money but I have the new HMV voucher book valid from 29/12/03 - 31/03/04 so I could get £5.00 off...
Actually Durge hates the Mandalorians with a passion so it's highly unlikely he's a Jango Fett wannabe!!!
Durge's backstory is that he's an almost unstoppable re-generative alien thingy inside that armor and about a hundred years before we meet him in the Clone Wars he was captured and...
I just saw the episode where Obi-Wan gets stuck inside Durge and then explodes out from him... gross!!!
I never really like Durge when he was first introduced in the Republic comic-book series and in his later appearance in the Boba Fett scholastic books... I think he's a bit un-Star Wars...
Play.com have it listed as The Very Best of the Muppet Show Vol. 3 and they've had it listed that way for quite some time.

Also on the subject of Fraggle DVDs - I find it very unlikely we'll see branching versions...
I don't really keep up with the Hyperspace Webcam but at the moment I believe it's in the post-production offices. And people often wave toys or drawings in front of the camera - so the Kermit is probably just someone's toy that sits on their desk and not an actual Kermit puppet.
But yeah a...
I don't know if there are any big Star Wars fans here (personally my love of the universe far far away is certainly on a level with my love of the Muppets!)...
Anyway the official Star Wars website has an exclusive webcam that keeps the fans that subscribe up to date on the development on...
Of course the main question is as this is a UK release will we be seeing our version with Fulton Mackay and the lighthouse or the US version with Gerry Parkes?
Obviously I grew up watching the UK version and for me that is the true Fraggle Rock - over the last few years I've downloaded some...
Actually when I was re-reading the list of scenes that were missing from the US DVD over at IMDb I got to the one about the stocking and then couldn't remember if that was in the UK DVD or not!!!
I'm no expert on Muppet history so I was wondering what the history of that scene is? Was it in...
I own (and of course have watched) both the US and UK DVDs and I can confim that the out of tune piano scene and Fozzie & the Snowman singing are all on the UK DVD + the Muppet Baby film, Statler & waldorf's section of the musical medley, etc.
I have the US Region 1 DVD and I just compared some of the screen captures that the DVD Debate review posted - their screencaps are obviously widescreen and I can confirm they do indeed feature more image to the left and right of the image found on the US DVD!
So although I don't have the UK...
I think one of the greatest things about DVD combined with the internet is how easy and cheap it is to get releases from all around the world.
Of course I've had a multi-region player since the early days (back in '98!) so I can pick and choose (in fact I used to buy DVDs exclusively from the...
I have the 15 Time Life DVDs but would have gladly paid £34.99 for 11 new episodes on DVD - but now we're down to 7 new episodes I'm not too sure I want to pay that much especially when some of those will probably be on Time Life's Vols 16-20 when they finally surface (and I'm confident they...
I know everyone has jumped to the conclusion that this will be a new 50 minute compilation + extras but I think that they'll probably switch the format for this release.
The previous ones have been the 50 minute compilation + Extra Features (2 full episodes and a special).
However this time...
I'm not entirely sure on all the details but it's a compilation of Xmas show highlights from the Ed Sullivan show. I believe one of the clips is of Kermit & Piggy singing one of the songs from Muppet Christmas Carol which presumably they were promoting at the time (can't recall which song...
Although I'm not quite sure why there are only 7 episodes listed on the auction for that DVD when there are 36 episodes in total over 4 DVDs in the set - so there should be 9 episodes per DVD. Oh well, it'll be on the shelves in 6 days time and we can all have a good look at it!!!
I actually e-mailed the seller to see if this was the upcoming Very Best Of... Vol. 3 - but it isn't.
There are no extra features and the seller bought it as a single disc from their supplier but it looks like it's a disc from a larger set... therefore I think we've just got our first look at...
I've just seen a listing on the HMV UK website for a 4-disc DVD box set coming out on the 10th November (just seven days from now!!!) with an RRP of £34.99 and featuring 36 episodes according to the description here:
HMV Exclusive DVD Box Set (Just click on the Synopsis tab for all the...
