Also I've just realised that the Johnny Cash episode has never been released on DVD before - it was included in HMV's exclusive VHS box set but it was one of the episodes dropped when they re-released the set on DVD!
So even if we have lost the 30 Year special :boo: (which I'm still hoping...
If the running time is 150 minutes and all we are getting is three episodes + the 2nd Muppet Fairy Tales then there is a discrepancy somewhere.
Using the last UK release (Vol. 2) as a guide - the regular episodes run approx 25½ minutes and the Muppet Fairy Tales run approx 32¼ minutes. So if...
I made a decision before the first Palisades figure ever came out to not collect them - because I knew once I started I would have to get everything! It was a tough decision and I still look at pictures of all the great figures & playsets but I know deep down I don't need them and it would cost...
Because it's being released in the UK and (unless they have them hacked or chipped) people over here tend to have Region 2 DVD players!!! The best you could hope for is for Columbia TriStar UK to leave the region coding off therefore making it a universal Region 0 release... but although some UK...
I think Warrick was simply correcting Erine81981's consistent mis-spelling of the name Gerry - not confirming we are getting the Gerry Parkes episodes on DVD!
You should always post stuff here!!! I know I didn't know anything about them until I stumbled across them by chance and I'm sure there were at least a few others too. This forum is my main source for Muppet news so if I don't read about it here I probably won't know about it!!!
January 27th
"Cookie Monster's Best Bites"
February 10th
"Big Bird in China"
"Big Bird in Japan"
Hopfully the Cookie Monster one will sell well so they'll release the Bert & Ernie :( :p and Kermit :) "Best Of"s on DVD too!!!
It should also be noted that the UK version of "Muppet Treasure Island" is slightly edited though. So if you want to hear the word "bloody" in the movie you have to buy the bloody US version!
The only one I have both versions of (i.e. the US and UK copies) is "A Muppet Family Christmas". The US versions is severely edited whereas the UK one is the most complete home video version of the holiday special available (with only one short scene missing that has apparently never been seen...
It's actually a rather scary version of Yoda from Steve Oederkirk's "Thumb Wars" - but I have a sneaky suspicion that they used a customized Boglin or something similar for it!!!
In case you're not familiar with Steve's thumbation movies he basically made a serious of spoof movies where all...
I probably only watched it during it's initial run and don't think I watched any re-runs (which is why Gerry Parkes was unfamiliar to me - although as an adult I've since seen his stuff). But I just did a quick check on IMDb and Fulton Mackay (we've been spelling his name wrong!) played doc for...
Exactly - I mean Muppet enthusiasts/completists would probably like to have the US shows on DVD (which is why I'll buy the DVD whichever versions they include). But the general DVD buying public probably didn't even know there were different human characters around the world and would be upset...
I'd rather see Fulton McKay on the UK DVD and mainly out of nostalgia but also so if the US gets a release at some point in the future and they have Gerry Parkes it means I can justify buying them as well!!!
Yeah the Time Life Vol. 6 has:
Muppetisms: "Fozzie (Da Bear)"
Movie Mania: "Muppet Screen Tests: I Love Lucy"
From the Archives: "Beaker"
+ the hidden feature:
Did You Know?: "The Flying Zucchini Brothers"
I suppose technically the "and more!" could be the "Did You Know?" fact -...
