We'll see The Interpreter at some point, but we saw Woody Allen's Melinda and Melinda last night. It was really interesting--half tragedy, half comedy. At times it felt a little stagey, like a play rather than a movie. All in all, though, it was interesting and enjoyable.
Well, I've been following it. I'm really impressed at how much Constantine has shaped up in the past few weeks. A month ago I would have thought he'd be gone by now, but he's really found his groove. Of course, I think I'm still rooting for a Bo/Carrie showdown in the finals.
I haven't seen the Skittles commercial in question (and I'm in the library now so I shouldn't click the link), but I'm really amused by some of the Star Wars related wrappers out there right now. There's one with the Emperor, and he's got a lightsaber with Skittles coming out of it. Seriously...
Something tells me those commercials will probably give more business to McDonalds than Burger King. Like those creepy things on the Quiznos commercials last year--probably helped Subway out to no end!
:)
Hey folks,
I just read an interesting story about Jim Hill, whose reports on Disney and the Henson company are often discussed here. It seems he got into some trouble with Disney over the tours he was conducting at their parks. Check it out at the link below...
There have been two series of six books each. Both are available as collected reprints. I think there may be a third series in progress as well, which I'm looking forward to.
I thought the movie was okay. Overall, though, I was disappointed--not because of the movie itself, but because of how cool it could have been if it had been truer to the spirit of the comics.
I'm just glad that they didn't remake this in the late '80s or early '90s. Because you know Michael Jackson would have wanted to be cast as Wonka. This movie, though, looks very cool.
I like that sound when ducks sound like they're laughing. Sometimes they all do it at once. Sometimes I want to go down to the duckpond and practice jokes in front of them just for the ego boost.
Really? I loved the freakiness, but what I really liked was the sincere emotion and psychological depth behind it. I only saw it once, but I can't wait to see it again--it's sitting on my dvd shelf.
I know there are a lot of places, but I've been avoiding them because I don't want too much spoiled for me. Good luck... er... May the Force be with you!
