I was one of two guys in the theater. Actually, for a while, my wife and I were the only ones there. Then she went out to use the bathroom. Then while she was gone about thirty teenage girls came in. I was grateful when my wife came back--I felt a little out of place without her!
Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants was terrific! I've read and enjoyed all three books, and the movie did take some liberties with the plot of the first. The good thing is, though, that it stayed true to the overall story and the tone of the novel throughout. The changes seemed necessary for...
Because purple rocks, and so does Mace Windu (and Samuel L. Jackson)!
I think probably because you wouldn't expect it. After all, he had a bigger role in Episode II. Keeping him around through Episode III might have been a bit predictable. This way, we see Anakin pushed pretty far pretty...
Sweet! Congrats! I'll have to check that out. :excited:
I think Bo should have won too, but I liked Carrie quite a bit. I was fine with either of them winning, as long as they were both in the top two. Anyway, coming in second certainly hasn't hurt Clay Aiken's career, as he's the...
I love my Tivo. I had to reset it, though, and I didn't know that I would have to unplug and replug the network adapter. It just stopped being able to connect to the network to get listings, and I was gone for three weeks. Argh. Anyway, I'm preoccupied with Star Wars anyway, so it will give...
Grrr!
Argh. Just came back to Iowa after three weeks today, and I was looking forward to seeing the new movie on my Tivo. Looks like I had a glitch, and didn't get ANYTHING for the past couple of weeks. So mad! Well, at least the dvd is out soon. And I got a 1958 Wilkins puppet at an...
I don't have a ton of time online (I'm away from home at the moment), or I would have posted sooner. But I really really liked it. I think we'll be seeing it again in a day or two, so I'll have to wait to know how I feel until I've seen it a second time. Just too much anticipation (and jerky...
I'm really looking forward to seeing it--unfortunately, it's sitting on my Tivo in Iowa, and I'm 1000 miles away for another week. I'll have to avoid this discussion until then, but hopefully I'll see what you all have seen soon.
:)
I thought it was pretty funny. I didn't know about it until right before the stand-up comedy part. Was there any more before or after that with Fozzie? I liked the "Wocka Wocka the Wookiee" joke, but that's because I'm in full-on Star Wars mode.
:o
I just read about this on AICN. I'm cautiously optimistic. I love the original, so of course I'm excited at the possibility of another film like it, but I'd be really disappointed if they made something that wasn't as good. Here's hoping for the best!
Darn it, I missed it. I don't know how that happened. Maybe someday they'll repeat it, for the good of crazed finals-takers like me who don't even know the difference between a funny home video and a honey foam video at this point.
:)
You know, I absolutely adore Pixar's movies. I've never been disappointed by one. But for some reason I almost never am really hooked by the trailers. The only exception is The Incredibles. I knew from the first trailer that that movie was going to be great. But all the others, which I...
Maybe I'm in the minority, but I liked it pretty well. I'm a strange audience for it, because I'm a fan who doesn't really remember much about the books. I read all of them and loved them back in high school, but I haven't read them in about 12 years. So I was looking forward to the movie...
