Scary indeed. You know, I am an expert at dreams--I recommend that the next time you have a dream about, say, a lottery number, you tell me right away so that I can, um, interpret it for you. Yeah, that's the ticket...
;)
September 26. And the new single isn't actually "You're Pitiful"--that won't be on the album for certain reasons. Go to

for more details. An interesting story, actually.
:)
I'm sure he's considered a lot of things. But I've also heard him say (or read him quoted as saying) that things like this take an enormous amount of his time to do, and he'd rather spend the time working on new music. But who knows. I suppose anything's possible--no matter what Al does, he's...
I am very excited to buy this set. I'm a huge Weird Al fan, but I've never actually seen the show. Isn't that strange? It aired back when I was in college, and our channel showed it at 5:30 on Sunday mornings. I just never remembered to tape it. I'm thrilled to get a chance to see it, and...
I like the publicity that this is getting, but a lot of the headlines for this article (which I've seen at a number of different sources online) present it as negative before you even read it. One I saw was
Bad Business: Muppets Go Adult
I don't like the bias there...
Hooray! No tax for me! I am so so excited for this. And by then, I may have a job for the year, so I won't feel guilty about buying :) . Actually, I won't feel guilty no matter what. Just very hoppy.
To me, Pixar is a different thing, so I'll leave the superb Toy Story pair out for the moment. They're better than just about anything anyway.
Anyway, I have to say Beauty and the Beast. That gets my vote for best traditionally animated Disney movie ever! They just don't make movies better...
Very nice--you're right on about the "essence" of the characters. It's there, without them seeming static or like carbon copies. I think there's a lot of room for these representations to stay true to the original and still have their own lives.
I believe that the same parrot puppet from the Pirate Episode was once used as one of the animals in the Rio Number from the Diana Ross Episode of TMS.
Rawrk!! Whistle!!
:p
Funny stuff, as usual. I'm really warming to the new performers, and I think they have a good chemistry together. I especially liked Waldorf singing them out when the main theme didn't play at the end.
 :boo:
Hi Starlancer,
I hate to be the one to tell you this, but nobody really seems to know for certain whether this is ever going to happen or not. Read through the posts to see what I mean. Let's hope for the best...
:) :)
Is this even going to be an episode? I was under the impression that it was a direct-to-dvd thing, to be sent out to military families with children. That makes a difference, I think.
No, no, I completely agree. It's just something that gives me pause, just a little, but I trust Sesame Street to handle it in a way that feels right. It's just a concern, but I think that the good this will do certainly outweighs it.
The biggest drawback to the concept, at least to me, is that I always see Sesame Street as a program that is non-violent at its core. That's why I question the concept of Elmo's dad deployed as a soldier. But if it helps real kids, that's what's most important.
Well, frankly, I'm glad they didn't send Elmo. Enemy troops don't take kindly to tickling, and I like the little guy.
Seriously, though, this is interesting. I'm not quite sure what to make of it. Having not seen the material, I really don't know what role they're giving to Elmo's dad...
