Well, he had to retire someday.
My guess is they find a new host, but it doesn't work out well. Then maybe they'll try again. I hope they don't mess with the format of the show too much. It doesn't need jazzing up.
I finally found this CD today, and gave it a first listen in the car. I tells ya, I was grinning from ear to ear the whole time. I think it's really good! It has a very fun, very classic Muppet feel to it. As for the performances, I thought they ranged from good to great all around. I've...
Even though we've known something was in the works for a while, I'm SO glad to have official confirmation. Hooray! It will be wonderful to see this series moving forward with new material!
I think these look like quite a good start. After all, they're not final products. I think it's really interesting to see how these take shape--I'm sure the final products will make everyone (or at least almost everyone) happy, but it's cool to see how the development's coming along.
Nice pictures, Lab Rat. Really nice!
I still need to get a case for my Kermit so I can display him without worrying about him getting dusty. Then I'll probably pose him more often--I may use some of your pictures as a guide!
I was wondering about this too, since the link from the main page is gone. I hope it will be back, but I hope even more that a "hiatus" means that the performers are needed for another, bigger Muppet project.
That's some odd footage from YouTube. I'm hoping it's fake--the extreme darkness, though "justified" by the alien's sensitivity to light, seems awfully convenient as a way to hide the wires or puppetry, or whatever.
If it's real, then it's just . . . sad and disturbing to watch.
So, while...
Got my Kermit. YAAAAAYYY!!
I'm a little too under the weather and tired to mess around posing and taking pictures, but I'm thrilled with him!
Also, I got my Han Solo blaster that I won. What a great day!
I don't know, I kinda like the extra bags and the slight lack of focus in the eyes. It does remind me of how Waldorf looked in the old days--there's been something almost too perfected about the puppet for a while, and it's nice to see him looking a little more rough around the edges.
Simpsons did something like that once, didn't they? When Homer was a "Bigger Brother" to Pepi, and was walking through his run-down neighborhood, he saw a man living in a dumpster:
"Heh, heh... Just like Oscar the Grouch!"
Here, though, it's not a joke at the expense of homeless people...
Yeah, I thought Simpsons was good--quite a few good chuckles for me the other night. For some reason, the Homer at the mirror gag has particularly stuck with me...
