Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
What about William Shatner or Leonard Nimoy? How about both? Heck, you could have the whole cast!
I also think that having the Beatles would have been great. They tried to get them for several seasons but it never panned out.
It's not a specific law - copyright law doesn't make any distinction between "fan" use and "commercial" use. Essentially, if something is copyrighted or trademarked you can't duplicate or reproduce it in any manner for any reason without the consent of the trademark owner, period.

We make noses out of whatever we have lying around - foam, plastic do-das, sometimes we even make them out of fleece and stuff them like little pillows.
Muppet Quilter is right, Nerf is a brand name for foam balls in North America, but they're so popular that "nerf" has become a catch-all...
Luke is right, I don't think Jim Henson ever wrote a book. The books you are probably thinking of are:
"Jim Henson: The Works, The Art, The Imagination"
"Jim Henson's Designs & Doodles"
There have been a number of books written over the years that are out of print. I think nost people...
Re: "Bear Mania"
Thanks for the info Treelo. I knew a tour was starting up in November because a puppeteer I know got cast in it, but I didn't realize it was a brand new show. Any idea how long it is out on the road?
I actually had an audition for the live tour, but couldn't make it because...
I usually go on work-related trips. The company I used to work for went over for about a month every year touring Japan doing shows and now my buddy lives their because he works for a Japanese company and he is getting married so my next trip will probably be for his wedding.
The Muppets have...
Just to answer my own earlier question, we are getting He-Man in Canada! This is from He-Man.org:
Canadians will be happy to hear that 'He-Man and the Masters of the Universe' is scheduled to join the YTV line up in the Fall. It kicks off on Monday, September 2, 2002 from 12:00PM-1:30PM with...
Gee, thanks guys - you made my day!
I was kinda bummed tonight because my birthday BBQ had to be cancelled `cause I got to work so this was just great to see before going to bed!
:)
Hi all!
I am not sure if anyone else is in my area, but this opportunity just came up today and I wanted to share it with the aspiring puppeteers in the group - Baa `N Oink is taping some segments for the TV series "Down on the Farm" on Saturday September 7th in Toronto and need a small army...
If memory serves, the book covers two types of common eye lid mechanisms - namely Rigid Shell mechs and "Doe skin" ones. I am not sure whether or not Michael has both of these on his site (and I'm just too lazy to check right now).
Although it might not contain the exact info you need...
I'm from Canada! (where did you think beavers come from??)
lol
"Internet Slutts" was produced a couple of years ago here in Canada for our beloved Comedy Network (if you are American imagine Comedy Central with lower budgets and more SCTV).
I think only one season was done...
They didn't actually win in court, Cinar (the prodcuer of Whimsy) settled out of court and neither side will disclose the terms.
It's widely assumed Cinar settled because their stock price was already crippled, the company's founders had been removed and they were being investigated for fraud...
I was speaking about Crank Yankers specifically, as I said in my post, I was just commenting on the crude puppet phenomenon in general.
Besides, compared to "Internet Slutts" that is produced up here, "Crank Yankers" sounds downright tame!
I never caught a full episode while I was in Japan, but I think it is local show mixed with US-produced segments and the show is designed to teach english.
Japan has all kinds of trippy kid's shows! When I go back next year I am hoping to finally tape a few and now I'll have to check out that...
