Is Kermit still on Sesame Street?

The celebs who appear on Sesame Street appear at bargain basement rates (SAG scale). Assuming Henson was willing to let Steve Whitmire do the same I am sure they would have Kermit on, however if what Muppet Quilter is saying is correct then that's not the case. Considering what Henson (EMTV)...

    Desperately seeking Rowlf

They had a few Rowlf puppets on ebay a few weeks back - they're sure to turn up again (I see them on there a lot).

    "Ulitsa Sezam" (Russian "S.S.") Interview

Hi all! I was doing some research for work and stumbled across an interview with the American Producer of "Ulitsa Sezam" (The Russian version of "Sesame Street") on a website called "Russian Webgirls." I can't find the 1st page online, but most of it is there and its an interesting article...

    Mike Quinn in Boston

Hey, I just looked at my calendar and realized our company is doing a puppet/prop rental pick up in MA that weekend. I usually send our rentals guy to do that sort of thing but maybe I'll do some work for a change and handle this one myself so I can take a side trip to Boston. Heh heh.... ;)

Well, i am learning this stuff

Hey Bork Bork! If you are using regular fleece do some test stitching on both sides and see which hides seams best (usually it's the side with the highest pile (or "fuzz"). We do a lot of Audrey II plants for "Little Shop of Horrors" usually cover the lips on the larger plants in double sided...

    Dyeing of Antron Fleece

Best to use whatever hot water fabric dye is available in your area Bork Bork. HEre in Canada we usually use RIT brand dye and occassionally we use Tintex for certain colours. Say, did u ever get to send out that fur? We got a puppet here waiting for you. Cheers! :)

    Favorite Canadian Puppet Shows...

Well, you don't have your facts straight, do you? :p I don't hate Crank Yankers - I've never actually seen an episode of Crank Yankers (well, just a few clips) but I think it's actually a pretty funny and original idea. The characters on Internet Slutts (I think they spelled it wrong on...

    Favorite Canadian Puppet Shows...

Here's my Canadian faves, more because of the performances of the individual puppeteers than the shows themselves: 1. Fraggle Rock (yes it is Canadian - a CBC production made with JHP) - it launched the careers of many Canadian puppeteers. 2. Tales From the Longhouse - the quality of this...

Free "Muppets Take Manhattan" DVD in Lucky Charms cereal

Has anyone seen these boxes in Canada? I've been looking in Toronto and all I can find is cases and cases of Lucky Charms with a free "Sorry" CD-ROM game. Crappy.

Kathy Mullen no longer performing Leona on BTL

Didn't Kathy Mullen and Michael Frith both leave the show over some sort of creative differences with other parties involved with the show?

    Disney Job Discrimination

This has nothing to do with the topic, but I had to throw in at this point that I crack up each and every time I see your avatar Scary Larry - that's one funny wolf! :p

    Antron Fleece

I don't think anyone ever really sells pre-dyed fleece - though you might be able to buy some from another puppet builder who has some they don't need or want. If you do not feel comfortable dying the fleece, ask around and see if someone you know can dye it for you. You can also check with...

    Human Hand Puppet

Another approach is to have the puppeteer's arm enter the puppet's arm at or just below the wrist or mid-forearm.
  17. Buck-Beaver

    Disney Job Discrimination

The other, non-puppetry side of this is that it's an insult to anyone who specializes in costume characters that you can throw anybody in to them. Performing body costumes is in and of itself a "specialty" and just because someone is a brilliant manipulator (puppeteer) it doesn't follow that...

    Disney Job Discrimination

Very sorry to hear about this Dan, this is very wrong and you should consider checking to see if Disney is violating any of Florida's anti-discrimination laws. If they are, it should reported to the proper state authorities.
