This has been quietly underway for months, but I don't think anyone expects it be pushed publically by the White House until (conviently enough) after the election. The problem I think is that U.S. troops and reservists are maxed out and no U.S. allies are willing to commit additional troops to...
I think the issue with bringing back Fraggle Rock isn't so much the condition of the puppets as much as it is that there probably is not a large enough demonstrated market for it. It's been a challenge for them to get classic Muppet projects off the ground and those characters are much better...
Hi all,
For those of you who watched Babylon 5 you'll be sad to hear that Richard Biggs, who played Dr. Stephen Franklin on the series died suddenly on Saturday, reportedly of either an aneurysm or a massive stroke.
JMS reported the sad, sad news in this post to the...
This (which I guess starts in about three minutes or so) is actually a repeat and was taped last year, before the recent dispute. It's a good episode, but James Lipton is highly annoying, constantly "geeking out" and insisting on asking the actors questions as their characters instead of asking...
An option for hair is to pattern or sculpt foam and then spray paint it. There's also a lot of wigs you can use. I've also found tubes that glow at hardware stores. Try going shopping with a mini blacklight (available at novelty shops) like DPuppets suggested and see what sorts of things glow.
I'm a little confused  because the thread is titled "black puppet hair" but you're asking about mouth materials....but have you considered having the mouths black and just the tongue or "tonsils" a flourescent colour? Other than that if you want a colour outside of the "basics"...
Hi Jason, welcome to MC.
Personally I wouldn't worry about where the creature shop gets it's resources - they're working on multi-million dollar projects and often bring in experts as consultants. A good place for the average person to start looking for this kind of information is probably...
Well, it's someone I work for so I'll err on the side of "not." Thanks though. Movielink seems to offer a good download service, but it's not available outside of the U.S. yet.
Most of the popular movies on KaZaA are pirated, though they are technically legal in a few countries like Canada...
Hey everyone,
Someone I do graphic design for recently got a few DVD burners and was asking about legal sites to buy or "rent" movies for download (he's not interested in anything like Netflix where the movies come in the mail). I know there are a few places out there, but I was wondering if...
Trek Today is reporting that UPN has finally renewed Enterprise. The official announcement won't come until Thursday but this is good news. They had an amazing action-oriented season this year that I really enjoyed.
Most people assume that to get to year five the series will have to hold (or...
Actually, Danny Horn recently posted the first part of a great article on Big Bird in China...there's a few images on that page but it might not be exactly what you're looking for.

I think it was Charles Schultz who said "Writer's block? Writer's block is for amateurs." :p
Seriously though, it's good to look at non-puppet things for awhile - comics, TV, art, anything really. I sometimes head down to the art gallery to get ideas for things or browse at my local bookstore.
Still battling some problems with my PC, but if anyone is eager to get an idea of what this thing is starting to look then you like might want to check out my blog (hit the link in my sig) under today's date.
;)
Yes, but Elmo makes it better. :D
I do think they were making some very good comments on the current direction America seems headed in. I just wish that they had done it in a more clever way.
Did anyone else catch Elmo on the Simpsons last night? They seem to really like putting him in. This time he was locked up in a "re-education centre" with the Simpsons and a bunch of other celebs like Michael Moore and Bill Clinton for being unamerican and critizing the U.S. government.
He...
