Here I go...
I am off to the Puppets Up! festival.
I plan on taking lots of pictures and I will share them here for those of you who could not make it.
I am suprised that I haven't heard from more Ontario residents about going. Buck Beaver? Are you going? Anyone else?
Anyways...
Characters for the audition
Okay,
I spoke with Todd as well (10 mins. ago) and he gave me a list of the characters they are looking for.
Kermit
Piggy
Fozzie
Gonzo
Statler
Waldorf
Dr. Bunson Honeydew
Beaker
Pepe
Animal
Todd let me know that they may not be against...
Hey Kristen,
I'll be there and a few of my other puppeteer friends will go as well. I am going to talk with a lot of established puppeteers at the Puppets Up! festival and ask them if they are going.
I guess I'll see you there. :)

Hey Iokitek,
Thanks for the compliment about the puppet, and you are totally correct he is a Yetti (my company mascot) Eddie the Yetti. You are amazing because my first project was to have him in a Hawaiian shirt (no hat and no guitar). I'm sure evryone would love to see your completed...
Hey furryfriends,
There really is no right or wrong way to do things. My first puppet also had three fingers on each hand, simply because I didn't know how many fingers looked appropriate (to my athestic). I always take peoples opinions and they help, but do what you think looks "nice" to...
Hey!
I have the exact same article somewhere in my files. But much like you (didn't) I don't know where it is right now.
Thanks for the reminder about the article. I am now on a quest to find it. I should have a good chance since I am now starting to set up my new workshop.
Thanks again.
Hey Mike,
Thanks for the link. I guess I don't spend as much time in the hobby stores as I should. Every time I talk with other builders most tips I get involve going to the hobby store. Thanks again.
Nice quality to your designs.

Hi Mike,
These are very helpful. I thank you for sharing. I was wondering what type of yellow hose ou use? I haveseen them in many professional puppets and was wanting to buy some. Could you share the type, size and where to get them? Thanks.
Update...
Another update folks,
There is more exciting news to tempt any puppet lovers to try to go to the Puppets Up! festival this August 6th & 7th, 2005.
I have just found out some of the puppeteers that will be performing at the adult cabaret.
Here are some of the names...
I haven't handled the Pepe puppet before, but from the way his hand is positioned it would appear that he is controlling arm rods. They are probably a little shorter because of the size of the puppet. That is just a guess. Like I said I haven't seen the puppet up close.
Understood. It is sometimes easy to forget that there are shipping costs on top of actual costs. It is wise to calculate those costs in to any of your ebay bids.
Oops! Sorry for getting off topic.
Great work Jarrod!
Indeed it can sometimes be hard to find the money to do the things that we want. I believe their membership fee is $25.00 for new members. If the money amount is and issue perhaps you can contact the president of the guild and work out some sort of payment agreement.
