    Tips on "Greying Hair"

Watered down acrylic paint will work. There should be some old threads here about methods for putting colour streaks in hair if you do some searching.

    Where's Waldo...C. Graphic

Hi guys, I am putting together a presentation on digital puppetry and Machinima and I'm trying to find a decent, high-quality picture of Waldo C. Graphic from the Jim Henson Hour. I've done a lot of web searching and haven't had much luck. There is the picture at the link above, but it's a...

    "Dont Hold Me Up" Video

Actually, you don't have to spend much for monitors...Commodore monitors (from the Commodore Amiga or Commodore 64) can often be found used for as little as $5 or $10 if you keep your eyes out for them. Great video!

    Muppet Mockumentary Pilot Filmed

Ah, I had not read the MC News piece (side note - the news page really needs an RSS Feed). I have had sources email me independently of that blog post and the report here on MC saying more or less the same sorts of things though.

    Project Puppet Fleece Pattern?

I like Tom's idea about using the seam allowance to "scale up" a fabric pattern, it might be fun to experiment with using that as a rule of thumb. I find it's a good idea if you're figuring out patterns for fleece or fur that is expensive is to first work it out first with a similar, cheaper...

    Muppet Mockumentary Pilot Filmed

I'm not sure if this new has already been posted here or not, but a new report says the Presentation Pilot that was filmed was for a possible mini-series that could be on air as early as the end of 2007. Also, that if successful it could lead to a full-time series. I have details on my blog -...

    Dudley the Dragon

I believe he worked on the Dog City series that was co-produced with Nelvana. Quite possibly background work in some of the Muppet specials taped in the 1980s as well, but I am not completely sure about that.

How do I get a job as a Muppeteer?

Forgive me, but when was Hollywood not about money and nepotism?

    Dudley the Dragon

Sure, Dudley came waaay before Mopatop though. He was originally a mascot for energy conservation in Canada when I was a kid in the 1980s and used to have a live show that toured to family events and festivals in the summer. Later they gave him his own TV show in Canada, I didn't know that it...

    How Cookie Monster works?

Ah hola georino.. como estas? = Oh, hi Georgina...how are you? (she's from Spain) I think then Pino is trying to say that his Cookie puppet ate real cookies and crumbs too. Maybe... Pino está un poco loco. :p

    Good Puppetry Books

It's very good (all of Fettig's books are) but where did you manage to find a copy? I thought the English language edition had been out of print for years.

    servos

That's true, if you're putting servos in a foam head they need space to breathe a bit. Ventilation becomes an issue even if the foam doesn't melt because some servos will fail if they get too hot.

    Type of Foam

Does it absorb water easily? If not it's probably some kind of closed-cell foam. I use that a lot for puppet bodies, but usually I use 1/2 inch thick sheets.

    servos

There are "quiet" servos that you can buy, but they are usually expensive. I have heard of servos that are housed in two plastic cases (one inside the other) that are pretty cheap and can sometimes be found in surplus shops (they are used to make things like vending machines). The servos that...
