And they have much different ears. I love Rowlf's ears. And his eyes, those big sunny-side-up-eggs. That are black instead of yellow. And SO perfect for double-takes. But both Rowlf and Fozzie look like they'd give great hugs.
(I would, but the doctor would surely faint upon the discovery of...
And they're both furry! It's impossible to NOT notice how similar they are when they hug in MTM. And they both tell jokes, too... It's just that one of them is a comedian and the other one is actually funny.
(Yes, well, it's not MY fault that every flying object remotely related to gym class...
Oh, lucky you, having a family who knows who Rowlf is! I was once talking to my mom about Muppets, and she had Rowlf and Fozzie confused. I had to scold her for it, and she just laughed at me. But of course now I'm wondering how I pronounced "Rowlf" in that conversation...
(Oh, please, don't...
Well, for me, it depends to whom I'm talking, and what the exact subject is. If I'm talking to my mom about how much I miss seeing that piano-playing dog around, I say his name quite a bit. If I'm talking to my horribly Muppet-illiterate roommate about... anything... it doesn't come up as much...
I usually TRY to pronounce it R-OH-lf, and often end up lazily pronouncing it R-AW-lf or R-OW-lf. But to be honest, most of my Muppet discussion goes on in written form online, so I don't worry about pronunciation too much!
(Yes, Prawnie, you are spotted... and certain MSN-ers feel horribly...
Guys, I've gotta tell you something...
When I write scenes like the one in the last chapter, I'm writing something that's been replaying in my head for days, weeks, months... in this case, almost a year... so when I line it at my guinea pig- I mean, Protege- Leyla, it's a tremendous sense of...
Chapter Sixty-One
Bob slowly eased the apartment door open. "Mom?" he called softly.
"Shhh!" Ms. Geraldson quietly hurried to the front door and gestured for everyone to enter- quietly. "All three of 'em are on the couch, and out like lights. You kids have a good time?"
"Yup, 'cept for...
So, I realized that I somehow left out a whole paragraph. I've edited it back in now, so if you feel ambitious, you might want to re-read the end of that last chapter. Also, just for randomness, and because I can't begin to remember whether or not I mentioned this previously... I figure this...
Chapter Sixty
When Kermit had first come home, all those months ago, everyone had noticed that he didn't so much sing as hum. After a few days, he had begun to actually sing, but never more than a line or two at a time. Since then, each of the Muppets- some more consciously than others- had...
I have two New Year's resolutions.
The first is simple: to back up my computer at least once a month. Not a big thing to do, but it saves a world of heartache if the computer crashes and the whole thing has to get wiped.
The second is way more difficult: to stay in the Honor's Program at...
Okay, so for just about no reason at all, I just went through this entire thread- yup, all 100 pages of it- and clicked a lot of links, and I've got about three words to say.
I MISS VIC!
In other news, I suggest that everyone take a good look at these visuals again, because there is some...
Chapter Fifty-Nine
They settled in the kitchen, keeping the rest of the Muppets out for now. No doubt they were eavesdropping anyway, Kermit explained, but at least this way they could have some quiet. They each pulled a chair out from the table, set them up, one across from two, and chatted...
No, I don't happen to have such a chapter, or at least not yet. I do have a chapter, but not that chapter, and I think you'll like this chapter, but could I please take this opportunity to swear upon a teddy bear that I wrote this chapter BEFORE Ru brought Brenda into Kermie's Girl? That is all...
Oh, a muffin sounds absolutely delightful. Would you like chocolate chip? Blueberry? Apple-cinnamon? Or one of my mother's "mystery muffins," which really don't look at all like muffins, but are really just a bunch of ingredients melted on top of an English Muffin, so...
Chapter Fifty-Eight
"Piggy, WHAT are you DOING?"
A few days had passed since the yard had swarmed with the 'propaganda attack,' and life was returning to as close to normal as it could ever get with the Muppets, although they tried to avoid leaving the house alone... Not that it was a...
O-r-a-l organs are, in fact, mouth and tongue and so forth, but a-u-r-a-l organs, as Ru sometimes refers to them, are for hearing.
Looking forward to the next installment!
