Just wanted to comment on how much I appreciate your September 11 menu on the main page... it is very tasteful and quite lovely. Thanks for remembering.
Yes, she's great in Faerie Tale Theatre! She's also th giant's wife in "Jack and the Beanstalk". But that line from "Cinderella" -"I'm your fairy godmother, honey. Didn't you see me poof?"- always cracks me up!
I just saw that, too! (as ashamed as I am to admit that I sometimes read IMDB's news page.....)
Anyway, just in case it disappears from Gorgon Heap's link, here is the text of the blurb:
I agree with almost everything said so far, but one thing I DO really like: the "At the Dance" scene. It's a very nice layout and a great way to capture the essence of those segments on the show and at the same time show it from a new angle. If that level of innovation can be combined with some...
Don't Piggy and Kermit already fill the Lucy-Schroeder dynamic, though (sans the piano).
As far as the "If-Rowlf-were-boss-would-Piggy-like-him-instead-of-Kermit" question, I think the answer depends on whether or not Piggy is attracted to Kermit because he's an authority figure, or is there...
I was going to say that I always liked the boy frogs/girl pigs combo from MCC.... but this is too cute to ignore! I love him (I, too, think he's a boy :))!
Well said, Jamie, and I agree with all of it.
(I love being able to piggy-back off of another's posts without having to take the time to write my own. :D;))
I don't know if they have officially said anything to that effect, but I was referring to the fact that the Muppet name is now Disney's and the Fraggles are still JHC's.
In season three, Elke Sommers speaks "pig" to Miss P (grunting through her nose), and our favorite sow clearly understands her, but is quick to pretend not to. :)
Heath Ledger was in The Dark Knight with Michael Caine.
Michael Caine was in The Muppet Christmas Carol with Kermi the Frog.
Next: Bernadette Peters (without using her TMS episode!)
I can almost see the name "The Penguin" as a codename for a mobster, crime boss, sneak thief, etc., with the police, Batman, and media all trying to find out who the Penguin is... only to discover that it is the new multi-millionaire in town.
Of course, that should be more of a subplot, but it...
I HATE that Fozzie drawing. It does not capture the character at all.... he looks sneaky, vicious, and cruel. He looks like his name should be Voldemort Bear.
