That is so much fun..... and as one Youtube user pointed out (I hadn't noticed it before reading his comment), Gonzo is back in his purple tux! That makes me happy, not because I really like the purple tux, but because it is going back to the retro awesomeness of the Muppets, ya know?
I can't...
I don't like that story... it makes me sad for some reason. I prefer to think of Beau as just a sweet, dumb guy. That backstory makes him too pathetic and with even a hint of tragedy.
*Shivers at the thought of Beau huddled in some sad little hole, forlornly munching on a raw onion*
I'm all for big name actors with talent and some degree of elegance (think previous Muppet movie cameos by Mel Brooks, Joan Rivers, Bob Hope, Peter Ustinov).
I'm all against C-list actors with little to no talent and no poise, who appear on "celebrity" editions of reality TV shows because they...
Judy Davis was in Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows with Tammy Blanchard.
Tammy Blanchard was in Gypsy on Broadway with Bernadette Peters.
Bernadette Peters was a guest on The Muppet Show with Kermit the Frog.
Next: Michael Learned.
I found Spike Milligan to be funny, but had to watch much of it with subtitles. I couldn't understand him!
Leo Sayer, on the other hand: he was one freaky little elf-guy. I didn't know that any guest star could make the Muppets almost unwatchable... boy was I wrong!
...and thought it was the most amazing, incredible, astounding, fantastic, creative, awesome, terrific, unbelievable, and utterly cool show I've ever seen. I've been to a lot of theatre, but I don't recall ever before wanting to buy a ticket for the next performance at intermission.
I mean...
So I watched "A Company of Players" today and was majorly disappointed. I knew from MC that it would be short, but it was so well-put together and so cool that it made me sad that it only lasted 10 minutes and had nothing new to say or show. It felt more like a preview of a documentary than an...
Yes, Gilda and Raquel are great, too. You can kind of see a trend: throughout the series, the comedians and actors usually do very well and the singers and dancers tend to be a little more wooden. Of course, there are exceptions. I think that Bob Hope seems a little lost, while Linda Ronstadt...
Some random Peyton thoughts on the season 3 DVDs:
-The fuzzy cover is not exactly hideous, but is a good imitation of it.
-The Muppets sitting in the theatre seats picture is a cool idea, but has been done so much better so many times before. It is better than what I could have done, but the...
I was so little when Jim died that I have grown up with both Jim's Kermit and Steve's Kermit. As far as my experience goes, Kermit is as much one as the other. Honestly, I have never been able to tell the difference between the two performers (except for the obvious things, like dates of...
Loud Girl: "When can we announce our engagement?"
Man: "How about now?"
Loud Girl: "WE'RE ENGAGED! WE'RE ENGAGED! FINALLY, IT'S HAPPENED! WE'RE ENGAGED!"
Okay, so that's not the exact wording, but that exchange kills me every time. :)
