IF it's true, it would be really disappointing, yeah. I wish we'd hear something for certain. I mean, if they're going to do something like that, they ought to give us time to raise an unholy fuss first, right?
Not to be an alarmist, but a usually-reliable blogger re-tweeted something from someone else today who claimed that a "good source" said that the Best Song nominees won't be performed this year. Since it's completely unsubstantiated third-hand information, I wouldn't even bring it up, except...
Yeah, if it loses to Rio, I think it's time we all go colonize our own planet. I hear Koozebain is lovely this time of year. ;)
So a few weeks ago, I was reading about the process for nominating songs. Apparently, eligible voters had to watch all of the songs on the list as they were...
And Life's a Happy Song wasn't. Huh. I'm glad for Man or Muppet; I'm just surprised. Also, looks like there is only one other song nominated? From Rio? Strange.
Thanks so much for posting these! It was fun hearing the dubbed voices. But the press conference, of course, was even better. "Oh, that's a typo. Somebody should fix that!" :)
That was great! Not a show I would have ever watched without a Muppet in it, but with a Muppet it was worth the time. It was fun just hearing the designers talking about Piggy while they worked. Loved the blond guy's genuine horror when the other guy started talking about bacon. And...
15 minutes of making-of! I find this hopeful. If only they'll focus on the part of The Muppets that is, you know, the muppets. Trying not to get my hopes up too much that we might see the performers in action. They've been so very invisible lately.
Can't help you, but now I'm wondering why in the world they didn't make Doozer construction sets when the Fraggles were on the air. What a great toy idea! Then they could have had the little cars to roll along the Doozer roads and everything. Missed opportunities, tsk.
I've always wanted to...
Rizzo has definitely had his share of time in the spotlight over the past 20 years or so. And I get that this movie is largely about TMS, and a re-emerging of the classic characters. I'm just not sure if that's a good reason for ignoring the poor rat altogether. I mean, he was there for much...
Curious: What has been the longest Muppet blooper reel to date? MCC was only about two and a half minutes. VMX was five. MWoZ...doesn't seem to be up on Youtube anymore. If they're including Muppets at Disney World, that one's almost eight minutes long. And they ought to be including it...
Well, between the two large cups of coffee I've had this morning and this news, I'm pretty much running around in little circles going, "Whoop! Whoop!"
I'm a little sad that the commentary doesn't include any Muppets/performers, but then I was expecting it to be Segel/Stoller anyway...
Ha! If it meant that I could go interview everyone involved extensively, and spend hours and hours poring over behind the scenes footage, I would go learn how to make movies right NOW. :D
Actually, it would be helpful. Kids are curious. If they don't have younger siblings nursing at home, they don't understand the process at all. Last year, at a big family gathering in a small house, I was breastfeeding my youngest in the upstairs area where the little kids were playing. It...
I would pay ever so much money for that. :) Actually, I was thinking that what we need is a documentary about the history of the Muppets after Jim Henson's passing. There's been a lot written and filmed about Jim's life and the Muppets under him (er...over him?). But the way they carried...
Oh, sorry, that's not what I meant! I posted mine twice b/c it didn't embed the first time, and then it said I couldn't delete the first one. But then it deleted it anyway. What I meant was my first post was supposed to be my second post...don't mind me. I'm just having technical...
Here's another article/video from their visit to Australia. It's mostly the same old interview stuff, but there are a few unique and very cute bits. They talk about how Kermit and Piggy each felt about the writing of their romantic subplot. And there's the best possible response to the Fox...
I think I've heard Frank describe his fellow Muppeteers as "brothers and sisters." I'm sure it is a familial sort of situation--complicated! :D
It may be "just a job," but you don't work with somebody for 10, 20, 30 years without developing a relationship. In any case, I sure would love to...
