I always thought Miss Piggy was voice by a woman (this goes to show how well Frank and Eric do female voices). I also thought Boober Fraggle was voiced by Frank Oz, instead of Dave Goelz. I also thought that Fran Brill did all the female puppet voices on Sesame Street (didn't have a clue that...
Excellent interview! I noticed Kevin is profiled as this weeks Muppeteer and that he enjoys performing Clifford. I love Hoots and Clifford, they're my favorite of Kevin's characters. Elmo is always cute when he does an interview. It must be hard to do Elmo's voice because of the high pitch...
Like I said, Elmo's World is just plain weird! Elmo is much better when he's interacting with other muppets/humans. I think when I was a kid, I would have been more upset if there wasn't any Bert & Ernie sketches featured; they were the comedians on the street. At least they have the...
It's great that there's more focus on the classic Muppet Show characters in this movie. When was the last time Uncle Deadly was seen, not to mention Thog and Behemoth (where's Timmy Monster and the Mutations).
Here's Clementine, Forgetful Jones' girlfriend
Brian Muehl (the original Clementine):

Kevin Clash (sounds almost like Elmo here):

Camille Bonora (her version was really sweet)...
The Bert & Ernie sketch where Ernie was taking a bath with his umbrella, bowling ball, and flashlight. When it started thunder and lightning in the bathroom with the rain, I was scared Ernie was going to get electrocuted because of it. To this day, I hate thunderstorms with a passion. Sounds...
Who's the man puppeteering Miss Piggy? It's not Eric because he's puppeteering Fozzie Bear. I can make out Steve with Kermit, David with Scooter, Bill with Rowlf, Dave with Gonzo, and Peter with Walter. Excellent picture of our muppeteers in action.
I decided to watch an episode one day when nothing else was on. I couldn't get over the changes, now the street story is only in the beginning instead of throughout the show. I liked Murray Monster in the real world (although I would like to see him interact with some other muppets...
I think the only time I ever see classic Sesame Street clips (besides YouTube and Sesame's official webpage) are on 'Play With Me, Sesame'. It airs once a week on Treehouse channel in Canada and I only see it if my niece watches it. Treehouse also airs Sesame Street on Saturday mornings...
Dave certainly had a knack for puppeteering before joining The Muppets. The ball sounded almost like one of Frank Oz's characters (but I know it was Dave who did the voice).:concern::cool:
I can do mostly the female voices like Miss Piggy, and Prairie Dawn. As a woman, it's hard for me to do the male characters because my voice is higher, though I can probably do Grover because it's almost the same voice as Miss Piggy.
Obviously, the person who did the video (not me, btw) didn't know that. IMDB also made the same mistake. It sure doesn't sound like Dave's voice to me (and I can usually tell who's doing the voices).
Miss Piggy had three different performers: Richard Hunt, Frank Oz, and Eric Jacobson. Jerry Nelson and Fran Brill performed her on early specials before she was known as Miss Piggy.
Eric Jacobson:

This thread gets more interesting every day.
I came across another recast in recent years: Guy Smiley, everyone's favorite game show host on Sesame Street
Here's Jim Henson's version (a voice close to Jim's own speaking voice and Kermit's)
