I just came across the clip on YouTube the other day. Love how Fozzie forgets his lines. Is it just me or does Robin sound like Big Bird here? Other than that, I think Matt, Bill, Eric and David are doing quite well with the classic characters.
I haven't bought any of the Muppet Show seasons because I thought that a Complete Series Box set would be released eventually. I just might have to buy the seasons just so that the last 2 seasons can be released.
A Canadian CD/DVD chain of stores is closing this weekend - CDPlus. I went to their store today since all of the DVD's were 30% off and got a three pack of Muppet movies - 'The Muppets Take Manhattan', 'Muppets From Space', and 'Kermit's Swamp Years', plus I was able to get the 'Henson's Place'...
All of your suggestions are excellent. I'd personally love to see either Eric Jacobson, David Rudman, or Matt Vogel featured just for the fact that I don't know much about them outside of Muppets. I know that Matt has a band and David has produced some kid's show and that Eric has performed on...
That's true! I think David could do really well, he does have a voice that's close, plus he's been doing a lot of Richard's characters on Sesame Street. I read somewhere that Richard and David were friends in real-life and that Jerry Nelson suggested David for all of Richard's characters. I...
Nothing but snow and more snow on the way, where I live. I prefer the cold than the heat in the summer. Can't stand the humidity in the summer, makes it hard to sleep.
WGBH is our PBS affiliate as well. Except for FOX, all of our American stations are broadcast from Boston. The Boston tourists who visit P.E.I. are actually surprised that they can watch their local news when they stay here. My mom watches the Boston news all the time and finds it more...
Happy Valentine's Day!
I've been reading your comments about how some people spend so much on weddings and such.
I don't plan to ever get into a relationship again (haven't been in one for the last ten years and I'd like to forget that relationship ever happened). I prefer my freedom to do...
Here's a link with some information about 'Romper Room & Friends' as it was known in Canada:
http://www.tvarchive.ca/database/18347/romper_room/details/
Fran Pappert "Miss Fran" was the only Romper Room teacher I remember.
Canada had some other good kids shows I remember - 'Harrigan'...
The person who posted those videos said that they were working on a Scooter video.
Out of all of the recasts of Janice since Richard's death, I feel that David Rudman does the best job, his voice is close to Richard's. :flirt:
I've been watching old clips on YouTube of Sesame Street and Jim really had 3 types of voices that he used with his characters that I could pick out.
There's the one that's close to Jim's own speaking voice that he used for Kermit, Ernie, and various anything muppets.
There's also the gruff...
Bumping this thread to bring a couple of new voice comparisons

I did see Jim's portion of the show, I liked what I saw. It was sad to see Fred Rogers being interviewed because it reminds me that he passed away almost 8 years ago.
The other shows featured, I've never heard of except Romper Room, and we had a Canadian version of Romper Room taped in...
As a single woman myself, it doesn't bother me if other people celebrate Valentine's Day. I celebrate 'Thank Goodness I'm Single Day' instead. I'm 31 and don't want to be bothered getting into a relationship. Some of my relatives think it's awful that I'm not married yet.
The only things I...
The Island creator of the Big Comfy Couch children's program is launching a new web series for toddlers.
Cheryl Wagner has created Bunny Bop, a new web series of five-minute episodes featuring preschoolers in bunny suits playing with toys.
It's geared towards toddlers.
Wagner said even the...
Jim voiced a lot of great characters. Hard to believe it's been almost 21 years since his passing. I remember the day he died, I was in 5th grade and it was 8 days before my 11th birthday. It was a sad day at school, many of my classmates were also Muppet fans. I kept wondering what would...
I had a Sesame Street album as a young girl but I can't remember the name of it. I know my mother gave it along with a Mr. Dressup album to some girls my grandmother used to babysit.
This is great that you now have an option to download songs. My niece loves 'Rubber Duckie'.
My brother had an Ernie doll and I got a Bert doll from a yard sale. My niece plays with them when she visits.
I have 2 sets of Sesame Street Treasuries. One set is from the late 1970s (1978?) that my brother had, the other set is from 1983 (the yellow version was my set). I actually...
