Skits that made you kind of sad

It's a skit from 'Christmas Eve on Sesame Street' that makes me sad. It's where Bert and Ernie have to give up their prized possessions to get a gift for each other.

    Favorite Bert and Ernie Sketch

Bert & Ernie are my favorite Sesame Street characters. It's so hard to pick a favorite sketch because there's so many of them. :p:( I think my favorite one from the Henson/Oz era would be the one where the Count sleeps over, it's so funny when Ernie looks like a zombie. From the...

New Pics: Jason Segel and the Muppets at the L.A. movie set

Is Steve doing the newsman in this movie? I sure hope so, I've grown used to his newsman. I'm glad to see David doing Scooter, I think that it's great that Scooter now has a permanent performer, it's a great tribute to Richard. Is David performing Janice too? ;):flirt:

    Sesame Street Character Voice Comparisons

I think Marty's versions of Snuffy and Telly are the best ones. I've seen interviews on YouTube of Marty and you can tell he's a pretty funny guy. Bob Payne's original Telly was just plain weird. I read on MuppetWikia that Michael did the puppeteering of Snuffy for the 10th season (1978-79)...

    Eric Jacobson's First Performance

It's a possibility. There's one skit in particular from the 2000's with Bert, Grover, and Cookie Monster. It's definitely Frank performing Bert and I'm pretty sure Eric is performing Grover with David doing Cookie Monster. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62tnBUDN9X0 Eric is a...

    Sesame Street Character Voice Comparisons

Mr. Snuffleupagus had three different performers Jerry Nelson: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMop8vxPeJE Michael Earl Davis (the only clip I could find with his performance): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mm1W6C6dDRI Martin P. Robinson (the voice I grew up with)...

Another character that's gone through some changes - Telly Monster (why isn't there any merchandise of Telly, I'll never know) Bob Payne (the original Telly Monster) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4JZJdcHCRw Brian Muehl (I somewhat remember this version)...

    Muppets on The Cosby Show

I watched the Cosby Show when it originally aired, so I was quite surprised to see the Muppets make an appearance. Gonzo, Sweetums, and Statler were the only major characters I remember on that episode, I'm pretty sure most of the other ones were from 'The Jim Henson Hour' (never saw the show...

Noticeable Changes to the set over the years

I grew up watching Sesame Street in the 1980's. I felt that the set in that era had the most realistic look of a inner-city street, lots of garbage around Oscar's can and peeling paint on the buildings; now the street set has been cleaned up (something I don't think Oscar likes too much). The...

"Pioneers of Television" to spotlight Jim Henson 2/8

I saw it mentioned on ToughPigs and The Muppet Mindset. I'll have to remember to watch it.

    Muppet Movies on YouTube

Wasn't sure where to put this, but I was able to watch all six theatrical releases of the Muppet movies on YouTube: The Muppet Movie (released about a month after I was born), The Great Muppet Caper, The Muppets Take Manhattan, The Muppet Christmas Carol, Muppets Treasure Island, and Muppets...

    Sesame Street Character Voice Comparisons

I read in my copy of the 'Sesame Street' 40th Anniversary book that David still studies videos of Frank's performances of Cookie Monster. David has a tough job, not only is he performing one of Frank's classic characters but he also does Richard Hunt's Sesame Street characters like Sonny...

Interview with Legendary Muppeteer Jerry Nelson

I'm enjoying the interview and can't wait for the final part. It's good to see Jerry is still able to work despite his health conditions. Jerry has so many classic Sesame Street characters that haven't been seen or heard in years like: Farley, Herry Monster (he did make a cameo in season 40)...

    CEOSST Continuity Error

I noticed this too when I watched it on YouTube a couple of weeks ago. There's also a scene where Bob wishes Mr. Hooper 'Happy Hanukkah' and he's carrying a stack of presents; when Oscar starts singing 'I Hate Christmas', Bob is coming out of his apartment building carrying the same stack of...

    Whatever happened to Seymour

Bill Baretta and Brian Henson had two comedic duos as Pepe and Seymour and Johnny Fiama and Sal Minelo. Brian's a really good puppeteer (reminds me of his father in a way), I'm not even sure if he puppeteered any Muppet specials since Disney took over the Muppets.

    Celebrating Caroll Spinney

Is is amazing, considering the fact that both Caroll and Jerry are around the same age as my grandfather. :wisdom::batty: I think Matt Vogel does the puppeteering of Jerry's characters while Jerry does the voice. Matt is also Caroll's stand-in as Big Bird (not sure about Oscar).

    Who's Married?

I know Dave Goelz has kids, but I'm not sure if he's still married? Joey Mazzarino's wife (Kerry Butler) appeared as Ms. Camp, the mail carrier in a 2002 Sesame Street episode. They have an adopted daughter. Jerry Nelson's wife's name is Jan. Caroll Spinney's wife's name is Debra...
