Thanks for posting. I forgot about Peter Friedman performing half of the monster in the debut. Jerry and Richard had great chemistry with their characters though.
It sounded like Brian to me. I remember Brian's Telly before Marty took over. Too bad there wasn't any Telly merchandise, I always liked Telly. The Telly/Oscar moments were always funny.
Thanks for finding the early clips of Elmo. I'd say the second one is definitely Brian performing him...
I see what you mean about Mike. The 1990's seemed to be a hit or miss with new characters.
Remember the 'Around the Corner' era? They brought in Ruthie, Celina, and the couple with the little girl - Angela, Jamal, and Kayla. A few years later, the era ended because of too much confusion...
I did know about the two Mr. Handfords (just like the three Gordons).
I totally forgot about Hiroshi, he appeared when I was still watching and I remember the scene where Oscar's can was considered art by him. It's on YouTube.
Sorry to get off topic.
I have to admit, I've never seen a Sesame Street episode with Mr. Handford until I saw videos on YouTube. I also got the impression that he seemed cranky, quite a contrast to David or even Mr. Hooper.
I like Alan, he seems pretty cool. Why was it that it took so long for the shows creators...
I'd love to write some letters requesting autographs, but being in Canada, it gets pretty expensive to send 'International Reply Coupons' with every letter, not to mention the postage to the U.S.
I have gotten a few autographs in the past, it's been a couple of years since I wrote fan...

I finally got to see 'Kermit's Swamp Years' and I thought it was a cute movie. I loved the special features on it.
I ordered the rest of the Muppet movies from Amazon, I should get them next week.
I did get a chance to show my niece what the Muppets are by watching a clip of them on AFV via...
I joined and I had also joined the page 'The Two Old Men From The Muppets Should Be The New Judges On American Idol'.
If the Muppets did host the Oscars, I'd definitely watch for sure.
I liked 'The Muppets Kitchen' because it was something different that had the usual Muppet mayhem and madness. I can't seem to print off the recipes from the page though.
Is it just me or did the early versions of Bert & Ernie sound different from the late '70's versions. Jim and Frank's voices for the characters sounded more exciting in the late 1970's compared to the early 1970's (it could be that the characters were still being developed).
I still like...
Saw this funny video on Tough Pigs:

Oscar had some of the best lines on Sesame Street. He's in my top 10 of favorite Sesame Street characters.
Bill Barretta has done quite well with Dr. Teeth and Rowlf, even the Swedish Chef. As I said, it's good to see some of the classic characters recast and brought back into the spotlight. His voice is almost as gruff as Jim's. If there's a voice comparision video of Dr. Teeth and Rowlf, I'll post...
I have a few plots that stick out in my mind from the 1980's.
Luis & Maria's wedding was so romantic, getting married on the rooftop (too bad I couldn't find the streets scenes on YouTube so I could watch it again).
Gaby's birth was funny because Oscar could be nice sometimes (I was still...
I did post on another thread that I was about to get 'Henson's Place' for 30% off as a result of a store closing sale. I watched it the other night and enjoyed it a lot. I wonder who has the rights to 'Of Muppets And Men'? I saw that one posted on YouTube.
I love all behind-the-scenes stuff...
The one character that really annoyed me as a kid was Gladys the Cow because of her attitude, I mean she thought she was better than anyone else. I don't mind the newer muppets like Abby and Murray.
It makes me wish that I had a region-free DVD player just so that I could get the U.K. version of MFC, which claims to be unedited.
Neither me or my niece have a VCR anymore. She has a lot of Disney DVD's in her collection.
I watched 'Henson's Place' last night and loved it. I enjoy the...
