Bert's nose also originally hung down over his mouth. This isn't the major rebuild I was talking about around Season 3. I think what you're talking about here was basically taking the same head and changing the features. :p

I would say Cookie Monster was first rebuilt around Season 3 or 4. It was a dramatic change. The original monster had a flexible mouth with his eyes clearly on Frank's knuckles, at the top of the head. The new Cookie had a wider, flat mouth, and his head no longer came to a point with the...

They're not seamless at all. You can very clearly see the neck seam on Piggy. :p
