Okay, this thread has sort of morphed into changes in all the puppets, not just Cookie Monster, so I'll post this here...
Does anyone else remember "Bucket-Mouth Oscar"? It was a rebuild of Oscar where he could move his eyes back and forth, along with his moving eyebrows. But we called him...
Bert's nose also originally hung down over his mouth.
This isn't the major rebuild I was talking about around Season 3. I think what you're talking about here was basically taking the same head and changing the features.
:p
Yes, I've seen most of the Sam and Friends characters in person, including one of the earliest Kermits. They were all in "The Art of the Muppets" traveling museum exhibit. I saw that show twice, once in San Diego and about a year later when they brought it to L.A.
I don't remember how many...
Okay, here's the annotated picture. I'm the one in the center of the circle, not the guy in the front with the moustache.

I also pointed out a few other highlights. I didn't mark Jim and Frank... you guys can find them...
Thank you, thank you, thank you, MuppetDude!!!
What great pictures! Brought back some wonderful memories for me. I certainly had never seen them before.
I'm going to try and annotate them and show everyone where I am in the 3rd picture. Even the people who know me now won't be able to...

I don't know him... have nothing to do with him... I just stole this link from another thread.
:p
Talking about M*A*S*H...
They were all there at one or the other of the times I went. When I first walked onto the soundstage, Alan Alda was sitting on top of The Swamp tent. It wasn't even for a shot, he was just up there waiting.
I actually was on an episode of AfterM*A*S*H. I was in...
I had written a little story about Sesame Place here, then found there's already another thread about it that has more information than what I posted... so I deleted this post.
:p
That's a good question. As soon as I get my time machine perfected, I'll go back and check. Either that, or we can wait until next year when they'll both be 100!!
