EXACTLY what I was just thinking, right down to the word! AndyWan, are you reading my mind?? :p
  2. Was Once Ernie

    Is my wife pregnant?

I don't know. Why would you think I would know? I've... uh... never even met your wife. Yeah, that's it! I've never even met your wife!! :p

    puppet mouth

Wow! Now you're really asking me to remember details from 35 years ago! I'll try, but there are people on this forum who have worked on the puppets much more recently and might have better answers than me. The thing is, I didn't turn him inside out to look at the way he was constructed. I...

    What can damage a Muppet?

They wouldn't have given a phony to the Smithsonian. But what he might be is one of the "photo" puppets that they use for taking pictures. Then he would have an armature inside so he could be posed. :p
  5. Was Once Ernie

    Kermit in Iowa

Kermit was in his own little case, directly across from Seinfeld's puffy pirate shirt and the Ruby Slippers. If they have Bert and Ernie, they have never been on display when I was there. :p

    puppet mouth

The glove in the 1979 and earlier versions of Cookie Monster did not have a sleeve attached to it. Although, that's not a bad idea. It might make him slightly easier to put on. :p
  7. Was Once Ernie

    Cookie Monster after season 1

As I was posting these pictures, I started thinking that, too. But this one couldn't have movable eyes. It's hard to tell whether he has that giant bottom jaw or whether the fur is just more untrimmed. I think I would have recognized "Bucket-Mouth" immediately when I saw him. :p

Behind the Scenes of "The Muppet Movie"

Okay, I was waiting to see if anyone else was going to comment, but since they're not... It was a joke! I was looking at the picture and spotted that guy and thought he looked like Waldorf... so I circled him. Uh, yeah... I thought that was the reaction I'd get. :p
  9. Was Once Ernie

    Cookie Monster after season 1

I don't have any pictures of "Bucket-Mouth", but I do have some nice ones of Oscar in the Smithsonian Institute. http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=8576804&uid=4105878 :p
  10. Was Once Ernie

    Kermit in Iowa

If you're interested in seeing pictures of Smithsonian Kermit, I just posted some that I took in June of this year. http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=8581507&uid=4105878 I know that the two close-ups are out of focus, but I thought it was worth including them anyway. :p

Muppets Tonight was taped at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood, CA., across the street from Paramount Studios. :p

    What can damage a Muppet?

For those interested, I just posted some pictures of Oscar in the Smithsonian Institute. http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=8576804&uid=4105878 Enjoy! :p
  13. Was Once Ernie

    What can damage a Muppet?

I saw him peeking out of Fonzie's jacket. Maybe he misread the card and thought it said "Fozzie's jacket". :p
  14. Was Once Ernie

    What can damage a Muppet?

Sometimes he is completely replaced. There is an Oscar in the Smithsonian. And see the thread "Cookie Monster After Season 1" in the Classic Sesame Street forum for a discussion of "Bucket-Mouth Oscar" (which we have since discovered is from Season 5). :p

    My upcoming puppetry film

Yeah, I have some advice... come out here to shoot it! Davey misses Muley! :p
  16. Was Once Ernie

Behind the Scenes of "The Muppet Movie"

I don't remember specifically how the other groups were broken up, but they tended to be grouped by the show they came from, rather than the type of character they were. I think you are right that the "star" characters were already assigned to people they knew. They asked for volunteers...

Oh, great! I'll buy a couple of them then! :p
  18. Was Once Ernie

    Cookie Monster after season 1

It was somewhere between 1972 and 1975, because that's when I was working at the Public Television station. :p

Are those the prices in yen or in dollars? If it's dollars... YIKES! :p
