Thanks, ilikemuppets, I appreciate everyone's kind words. It's definitely bringing up my mood!
And funny story, fragglemuppet! And that's cool about Extreme Makeover, I never know anyone who gets on TV hehe
Yeah, I stumbled upon Frank's cameo once and it completely threw me because he...
Oh, the musicians of bremen, very cool. It's been a long time!
Yeah, I used to have a couple Sesame Street read along books, only they were on tape not on a record.
Thanks, Skye, I'll try to relax!
Oh and Count, amazingly my Mom just bought me a doughnut! It wasn't chocolate, but still, very appreciated.
Yeah, it's great that Of Muppets and Men was posted, I'll watch it again sometime this week.
I did read in one of the character sketches, that one of the original ideas was for Gobo to have a lot of hats. Personally, I never liked all his hats, even as a kid. But it's not that big a deal.
That's a very interesting point about what can happen when a more primitive people coming across modern day technology
I've also seen the episode speaking about the dangers of the media and advertising. A cheap piece of technology tells you how to be cool, what to like, where to find happiness.
I haven't really seen Frank Oz's cameo in Trading Places, so that will be good. I've seen a lot of the movie though and it is funny.
The haircut sounds nice, Kiki! Sorry about the not having cable thing, I'm sure it'll be on again somewhere else.
Ugh, last night I sprained my ankle really...
I saw it at Barnes and Noble, I noticed it immediately. It's funny how the Sesame Street adults are so familar even as you get older. The book seems really good!
I'm sure the dry spell is only temporary. :flirt:
***TV Alert!*** Trading Places will be on Comedy Central today (Sunday, September 17) at 5pm (Eastern).
"Hey look, Ma! I caught a Fraggle!"
...Well I bought one anyway! I was at a Target store today and actually found a Red Fraggle doll...
One of my favorites is "A Boy Named Charlie Brown." It perfectly sums up Charlie Brown's personality. He talks himself into feeling bad by thinking negatively all the time. But despite that, he enters a spelling bee just to prove he can be good at something. In the end he doesn't win, and at...
Yeah, I first heard about the song on the "Your face!" site. I think the person had written a review saying how much she liked his voice. And then a few days later I found that particular Muppet Show DVD at the store. I didn't know the song was in the episode until I starting watching though. I...
That makes three of us who love that song! And for all the reasons Beau and Skye listed, definitely! Plus, the song is quite witty, combining a 1950's staple ("ram a lam a ding dong") with actual rams and lambs!
No, the "lover" thing doesn't sound strange, it makes sense. In the Down in...
You know, I just remembered something.
I was watching the MTV Movie Awards a couple years ago. It was the year Return of the King won for best picture.
They were doing a humorous skit where Keanu Reeves refuses to give his speech (introducing the nominees). A crew person comes out from...
Yeah, I always thought that was one of the more interesting theories!
I remember seeing the special for the first time as a kid. When the question came up about how Santa gets down the chimeney, I told my parents he must slide down. And sure enough, one of the kids tells Kermit the very same...
That's an interesting dream!
Just started listening to Scooter's narration of MTM...
...This...is...awesome! It's my favorite Muppet movie narrated by Richard. And I like how the record is all scratchy, it's nostalgic. ;)
