the song of the clous forest talk page

I remember seeing Song of the Cloud Forest on TV years ago. At the time all the colors and stuff were very high tech! I guess I saw it on the Jim Henson Hour. But I remember not really knowing that the JHH was a TV show, I thought there were just an unusual number of Muppet specials that year!

    Saved By the Bell!

Yeah and I didn't like the college years. It just didn't have the same magic. Plus, that gigantic dorm they lived in was completely unrealistic! At least, it wasn't the dorm I had! Anyway, the original was the best.

Hey, I posted this a couple days ago when the thread was low on activity. But then Amanda came on and it wasn't necessary. Sorry if you guys already saw it, but just thought I'd bring it up again just in case. Disco D! (Lead singing by Richard Hunt) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBteOq-ttcQ...

    Another from Jim Hill Media...

It still makes sense. Maybe they were planning out the idea of Muppet Babies, and then used them in Muppets Take Manhattan to see if the idea was workable and drum up some early attention.

    Doc's name

Yeah, that does make sense, thanks!

    Doc's name

I think "Doc" is just a nickname, like "Doc" from Snow White. Although I could be missing something. I always knew his name was Doc, but oddly I don't remember how I knew that. I obviously heard it somewhere, but I don't have a clue where. And I'm pretty sure I never bothered reading the credits!

    Another from Jim Hill Media...

I agree, the entertainment industry is a business, and yes people are in it to make money. There is no shame in that. And it doesn't mean money is the ONLY reason.

Interpretation of "Manny's Land of Carpets"

Oh, that's interesting, I wonder why they chose to go in another direction.

    Happy Birthday Kevin Clash!!

Happy be-lated birthday! I've always liked Clifford, ever since the Ted Danson episode of the Jim Henson Hour. :)

    The RHLC!

Richard didn't have many lines, so most of his performance was facial expressions. And he really knew how to get it all across. From being confident at the beginning of the scene, to completely losing it by the end.

    Gobo's collection of hats

Oh yeah I think the idea of wearing a bunch of hats is cool, I just wasn't crazy about Gobo's choice of head gear.

    The RHLC!

Yay, Trading Places has started! One thing I noticed immediately is the picture quality. When I first taped Trading Places on Spike TV, it was clearly an old, fuzzy 1980s print. Normally I like that, but I have to admit Comedy Central has a much sharper, clearer picture. You can see people's...

    Saved By the Bell!

Saved by the Bell is one of my guilty pleasures. It's so tacky and the popular kids are so mean, but I can't help watching any time it's on!
