I was thinking the exact same thing, that he might try and rename Big Bird! Food Freak's great though. I don't think I could keep a straight face if the other characters started calling him that.
"Hi, Bob!
"Oh hi, Food Freak, how are you doing today?"
LOl, nope I couldn't keep a...
Yeah, now we're all frustrated with the very thing that bothered Jim all those years. The whole "just for kids" label.
I mean, if the major companies disapoint, it's really up to the fans to keep it going.
There are still plenty of ways to get a hold of classic Muppet stuff (though some...
You make a good point. I just wish the powers-that-be (who ever they are) trusted in the old material, instead of thinking the new stuff is needed to drum up popularity.
I honestly don't see the new stuff bringing in a new huge fan base among the younger generations. If they had just released...
Good point, Sara, someone should write his bio!
I know how you feel about bills and stuff. ::sigh::
Writing is a good idea, creativity is good for the mind in times of stress.
I feel the exactly the same way. There's nothing wrong with nostalgia; it's important to people and kids can like it too. It's nice that the Muppets are trying new things, but it wouldn't matter if they never did another project. Their classic stuff speaks for itself, it was their best work. And...
Thanks, Skye!
Yeah, Roscoe Orman's book is very interesting, ilikemuppets!
Thanks for the recommendation regarding Kevin's book. I think I'll borrow it from the library first before buying it. I don't dislike Elmo as a character, I dislike how popular he is. I don't go in for fads, you know...
I actually did read some of it in the store. It looks really good. I'm just not sure for myself, since I'm not really an Elmo person.
Yeah, it would be great if Stevie could get a book deal!
Also, Harry asks Kermit, "Hey, I just have one question man! How come you look so much better now than you did then?"
Kermit replies, "Well that is one of the advantages of being a Muppet! By the way, where is Yorick?"
And Yorick pops up with the fake face he had on the Ed Sullivan show...
I love Grover in that sketch too, "Phil, Tom, Tom, Phil!" And how Phil's feather 'magically' appears in Don's hand at the end of the sketch. ;)
And that's a great Richard mention in Kevin's book, ilikemuppets! What else do you think of the book in general?
Yeah, well she did say she wasn't that used to going on the web and message boards and stuff. And that sometimes it would take awhile. I'm sure she'll be back at some point.
Oh and glad you liked the Don Music/Thomas Jefferson clip, Meep!
We have been so spoiled on this thread! lol
Hmm, well I studied French, but it was way too fast for me! It looked good though, nice that The Muppets get this opportunity! And yay for Scooter screen time!
And it's cool that they included Clifford when they didn't have to. (Personally, I never liked Johnny and Sal, but that's just me.)...
Yeah, good to hear from you again, Meep! It's ok about the PM, I know you're busy. I always enjoy your messages. It's harder to keep going to the forum when school starts I imagine.
I just watched the one where the cast decides to change Woof Woof's name to Barkley. Yeah, that is so strange how Gordon just decides out of nowhere they NEED to rename the dog! I like the name Barkley, but I felt so bad for Bob! lol
However, it was nice to see the adults having "normal"...
