Now THAT'S dedication! Glad you're making progress. It's almost like it was fate that the rug just happened to be there. ;)
Random thing, the other day I saw a Snuffy stuffed toy in a Hallmark. I have been sort of down lately, so I decided to buy it. He's so adorable, I hug him everynight...
Oddly enough, we had a discussion about this on another thread and it turns out the "X" is a Greek term for Christ. I'm ashamed to admit I didn't know that. It's ironic how people now use it to erase Christ from the holiday. :p
I don't mind people celebrating Christmas as a secular holiday...

I just think every successful, long-running show eventually loses its luster. You can't keep it up forever, it's impossible. I think the company also tried conforming to what was currently popular in kid's entertainment. But you can't go back home again.
I know how Vic feels. I love the displays in department store windows. Half of my celebration of Christmas comes from looking at magazines, commericals and TV specials!
I keep it in perspective, I don't actually buy most of this stuff. But just seeing it helps me get into the spirit. I love...
I do go to Church every Sunday. I do think it's important, but not everyone thinks that way and that's fine. It's not the only aspect of being a faithful person.
I support my Church for being against abortion. Though, I don't think making it illegal with help matters. It's a social issue that...
Yeah, the final season wasn't my favorite. You really need to see the series as a whole. It had deep storylines and the characters weren't always moral and perfect, they made mistakes.
In this case, it seems to be protecting them from being confused about the differences between old and new Sesame Street. Which I do think most kids get over quickly. I mean there were changes on Sesame Street before that kids must have noticed. Like characters changing actors or puppets...
I remember seeing the special on Nickelodeon years ago, and later asking my Mom, "Uh...what's Little Muppet Monsters?" lol They made such a point of mentioning it, I thought I'd completely missed something! But then I was told how it didn't last long.
I agree, I really do not buy that today's children can't appreciate older entertainment, especially when it is often better than what they have now.
And it's not just because I'm partial to classic Sesame Street because I grew up with it. I enjoy several kid's shows that are on today, if they...
Yeah, for me it was normal that Snuffy was visible to the adults. It's weird for me to see older episodes with the adults not believing Big Bird. You can see why it became a problem, I think. Big Bird is so frustrated and upset that the adults won't listen to him. It created a bit of a gulf...
